Mr. Lister should be on the top of the Best Top Ten List for Rockwall County attorneys. I was part of a Court Watchers group in a different county and have seen the worst. Mr. Lister, a retired Marine, is a man of integrity who served his country well. I spent many hours researching other lawyers before choosing Mr. Mark Lister. The research paid off in spades. He worked with me to bring an end to a 48 year marriage. He was honest about the difficult months ahead and the best approach to a ending with mediation as opposed going to trial. Mr. Lister never hurried through a meeting over the very difficult financial issues. He returned calls and emails within a reasonable time, a major issue with many lawyers. Nothing was overlooked in the mediation and final decree. My final bill was more than fair for the amount of hard work he put in to my case.

Get results. Mark gets results! He is professional, knowledgeable, and provides excellent communication, including response times. I am going to be honest! After my daughter came to me for help and looking for an attorney on very short notice and court date approaching less than a week I did not know where to turn. When I spoke to Mark I knew he was the attorney that we needed to hire based on his wisdom, openness to hearing every little detail of the custody issue, the time he put into the case, and feeling he truly cared about the case and well being of my grandson made it known to me he was the right person for the case. I just cannot speak enough about how much time he put into the case knowing we had very little time. Anytime anyone ask me about an attorney or I see someone like me not knowing where to turn for one in the time of need I recommend them to Mark immediately!! Seeing the compassion that Mark had for us as his clients made us feel confident in our case and in ourselves. I will definitely keep him in my phone and wish him all the best!

I approached Mark partway through a custody battle. And while it's true that I was in a pinch, he was not my only option. Essentially, I ended up choosing between Mark and another, more experienced attorney. Cost was a factor in my decision, but not the deciding factor. I chose Mark because, as a veteran myself, I trusted him when he said he would fight for me. That's what I needed, and that's what he did. First and foremost, Mark is extremely responsive, both in terms of his availability (returning calls, meeting, etc.) and his representation (understanding clients' needs, concerns, etc.). He's also not afraid -- this is a thing with some attorney's because they don't want to (excuse the expression) "crap where they eat". Mark was aggressive and went to bat for me despite it requiring him to sacrifice a bit of personal comfort. It's a quality that will serve him and his future clients well as he gains more experience and a knack for effective aggression. I think we both learned some valuable lessons during my case, which was hardly straightforward, and I consider our settlement a positive one.

I needed a hunt county attorney to help me read some Child custody privileges from a legal document I had received and explain. Just the free legal consultation was excellent! Mark spent about 30 minutes asking questions, giving advice, etc. I’d imagine he would have spent longer had I not needed to go at the moment. It was so informative and professional I decided to hire him for looking over the documents. Well, worth the money! Mark emailed a break down of the court orders, and when I called for clarification on a few items, answered several questions including many others I hadn’t even thought of. Mark was very easy to talk to and had gread knowledge. He actually took the time to talk to me and get a good understanding of my situation. He helped break everything down and helped me decide on what the best route for me was and left me at ease. Mark was the second attorney that I met with and honestly, I wish I reached out sooner. The first attorney seemed a bit laid back and just went through the motion of "Oh, just another divorce case." I left that office feeling uneasy and not sure what direction to head into. Mark was then recommended on Facebook and I reached out to inquire about a consultation and Lacey, the Case Manager was on top of it! I was a Stay at Home Momma to a toddler & was headed into divorce due to my husbands infidelity. I was scared, as there was NO way this could be my life. Mark was a straight shooter, he listened to my concerns, he was knowledgeable with the VA (Veteran Affairs) and Military stuff, that no one else locally seemed to grasp and he wanted to fight for my son and I. I walked out of my consultation with a better understanding of my rights and we had a game plan and even though I was terrified to go through a divorce, Mark and Lacey held my hand every step of the way and reassured me it would all be ok. Mark knew when to be aggressive and when to pull back the reins. He made himself available to me whenever I needed some guidance or direction. Most of all, he knew my goal and he knew how important my son is to me and that I would do anything and everything for him, and Mark was willing to do the same for us. Divorce wasn't so scary after all, it's definitely not fun by any means. There's a lot of emotions involved and Mark knew that. He allowed me to have those emotions, but also was a voice of reason once my emotions subsided. I am in the midst of finalizing my divorce and moving out of this state with my son (which was the goal!) and I couldn't imagine going through this experience with anyone else, but Mark and Lacey!
