I had a unique and difficult case where the other party just did not want to do right. Amber got it taken care of, no matter how the other party tried to resist complying. So glad it’s over and we can move on with our lives. Amber’s retainer was also reasonable/average retainer, definitely recommend.

Amber is a gem of a family law attorney! She has a profesional and firm, yet, gentle approach. I like that all communication was succinct and efficient. She helped me with a 12-year-long custody case that was very complicated and she handled it outside of a hearing, in a day. I’m very grateful for her services.

We retained Amber Hinson's services to represent us in a termination of parental rights and subsequent adoption of a step-child proceeding. From our initial consultation, we KNEW that we hade made the right choice! Not only is Amber exceptionally knowledgeable of statutes, processes, etc, but she is also compassionate and approachable, qualities that are not always common when seeking representation. Do not misunderstand, though- she is at the top of her game and helped us through this incredibly long and convoluted process with grace. I could not possibly give her enough stars on this review.

I had first retained to Amber in 2016 to deal with a custody case. At the time I was a young, new dad fighting for custody of my son. My son's mother was withholding him from me for days, weeks, even an entire month one point. Prior to even thinking of retaining any legal counsel, I had did what most guys in my situation would think to do: I filed a case with the OAG. As many out there may have experienced, the OAG did not work in my best interest. I got to the court and they immediately threw me on child support, told me I had to pay $588 a month in child support when I was only making minimum wage and gave my child's mother pretty much everything she asked for without bothering to hear me out. When I retained Amber, all of that started to change. I genuinely felt like I had somebody who was in my corner working for me. She gave me excellent advice, was able to undo the previous order that the OAG put in place and got me everything I asked for. Til this day, I still have primary custody of my son. She was professional, knowledgeable and couldn't have been more lenient with the costs. At the time, I made $7.50/hr and she made it work. As with many custody battles, eventually accusations were thrown my way by the other parent but Amber, again demonstrating her legal expertise, took care of everything. I recommend her to all of my clients and anyone reading this review.

I hired Amber Hinson for my divorce case and was highly impressed by her services. My divorce case was simple, no children and we had not been married for long. I had previously contacted many lawyers in the Austin area but most of them were asking for an unreasonably high retainer and were trying to make the process lengthy and expensive for no reason at all. Miss Amber was a breath of fresh air. She is very reasonably priced and tried to get the process completed as quickly as possible. I needed a child custody with a second parent who is not in the country. I made a call to a different lawyer with whom I spoke and made it clear that time was not on my side. She referred me to Amber with this statement "if there is one person who can do it within this time that you are asking for, it is Amber", I met Amber and she took up the case after explaining to me in detail what she was going to do. I went through the process without any difficulty. She had everything done within the time frame that I wanted. Amber has an awesome personality and very professional. She has an office staff that is very accommodating and helpful too. You can't go wrong with her.
