I cannot give enough praise to this attorney. She was not only understanding sympathetic, genuine and real; She's tough and very knowledgeable. At a moment, I had no idea what I was facing all I had was her and my prayers. This lady stood up for me when nobody believed I was innocent and That's all I needed. All charges were dismissed. She is outstanding

Mr. Briones is a generic result attorney that totally got annihilated in court JP3 04/13/21 He was representing my family members in a civil suit and even got their name incorrect. Briones was unprepared and tried to scam Judge Wentworth into believing that only one person was on a deed to a home in dispute as if the other ex spouse was not on the deed at all. When the Judge called him out in it, Briones stumbled in his words saying he misunderstood. Briones did not even have the divorce Decree with him that literally won the case for the opponent . He told the Judge he did not know what was on it and got annihilated once again when the Judge had the copy of the decree and told him that his name was on it. He had signed it, yet had pretended he was unaware of the stipulations on it that favored the opponent and the case was lost for Briones. I believe the Judge could see through Briones right away and his credentials were immediately lost. This attorney is exactly the kind of attorney to avoid.

I went to see Mr. Briones for a consultation in December of last year. My ex wife was moving to Laredo and taking our son to go live over there. I asked Mr. Briones for help and he recommended that we file for a modification to have my son come live me with and not have to go to Laredo. It seemed impossible and I never thought I would have a chance but Mr. Briones was very certain that we could fight for this. I didn't have very much money to pay for a retainer so he asked for a little up front and put me on a payment plan. We went to court a few times and at the last hearing we won. My son now lives with me full time and I couldn't ask for a better lawyer on my side then Ricardo Briones.

Mr. Briones was an amazing lawyer who helped me with my case. He let me know what my best choices were and talked each option out with me. He knows what he’s doing and if I’m ever trouble again, I will ask for his help again.

I came to Mr. Briones very late in my case and close to my court date and he was exceptional on how efficiently and fast he worked. I never thought after having failed attempts from different lawyers that Mr. Briones would be unable to get me what I wanted, well he did in fact get me everything I wanted in my case and I couldn’t be happier.

Ricardo was terrible. He refused to call my parents in as witnesses, forgot court dates, showed up late, took weeks to respond to calls or e-mails, refused to ask questions I thought were important, dropped the ball on child support twice, dropped the ball on visitations, on video chats, on just about everything, and was made to look like a fool by a lawyer fresh out of law school. Prior to having the case transferred to a new attorney, I paid him $500 to fix some temporary orders. He didn't do anything for three weeks, and when I told him he was fired he immediately filed paperwork with the court to prevent me from asking for a refund and demanded I sign paperwork promising not to sue him in order to receive my case files. To his credit, he's a really nice guy. My ex thought so too.

I highly recommend hiring Ricardo Briones for family law matters, specifically in divorce and custody cases which are high conflict. Ricardo was there for me after my previous attorney withdrew and left me high and dry. He went above and beyond my previous attorney, and was always attentive to my case. Most importantly, he didn't devalue my experience or try to convince me I was crazy for fighting for our daughter's custody. He got me into mediation and my case is resolving favorably. Ricardo is the ideal defense attorney. He truly cares for the people he defends and works with clients on a personal basis. He is respectful and knowledgeable and communicates well.
