I personally had a poor experience with them. After I hired him, I found out that the courts were going to let me off easy with a pretrial intervention program (an online course and a short, unsupervised probation period). He took credit for my qualifying for this program, but this was not the case; I qualified because I have absolutely no previous record and the county prosecutor decided to let me off easy. So, he took credit for something he didn’t do. I thought I had to meet with some sort of law official or probation officer at the end of my probation period, but turns out my case was dismissed weeks prior and I had to personally call the county courts to find this out instead of my attorney informing me (whom I’m paying thousands of dollars to to help me through this legal process). Basically what I’m saying is, if it is not a very very serious crime save yourself the money and go with a public defender; that’s what I should have done seeing as I had to do most of the investigating and dealing with the courts myself anyway.

Last week I spoke with one of his employees (Sylvia) and was told since I had already gone to court and pleaded not guilty, half of Cantrells work is done and it would be half of the normal price so just $600. I was currently waiting for my refund from a different attorney that gave me the run around and told Sylvia I'd call her back.. Yesterday I called Sylvia back to hire Cantrell and she tells me I'd have to pay the full blown price ($1200). I mentioned that she told me it would only be $600 days ago and her reply was "no sir I never said that you misunderstood me." Now that's just insulting me. Because she doesn't remember telling me that price, I'm the one in the wrong. They just lost my business, and I'll be glad to tell any driver I talk to which is multiple on a daily basis to stay away from this company. Cantrell might be a great attorney but his employees are rude and losing him business. Thanks to Sylvia Update to 12/22, after being completely disrespected by Sylvia from Mr. Cantrells office I went ahead and went with Joyner + Joyner – Texas Law Firm. I couldn't be more happy with my decision, I get text updates and informative emails about my cdl ticket being taken care of, and also was $300 less. Do what I did and go with Joyner + Joyner – Texas Law Firm, don't get the run around at Cantrells office. Do it right the first time and have Joyner law firm take care of you.

Called for information and receptionist was beyond disrespectful. This is how you expect to get new clients by having disrespectful staff talk to prospective clients??? Red flag, not going to hire this lawyer for the bad customer service I got from the receptionist. I can’t even imagen what my experience would had been if I had hired him, if their staff is so rude. Just a journey of bad experiences.

Mr. Cantrell is an excellent criminal defense lawyer. I told him I did not want a plea bargain and I wanted my day in court. Leading up to and during my trial, Mr. Cantrell and his staff of professionals were laser focused. They worked on my case from early morning to late in the evening. I saw first hand that he is highly respected by both the Judges and Prosecutors. Mr. Cantrell and his office will work diligently to achieve your desired outcome. Mr. Cantrell has LOTS of successful trial experience which is crucial in proving your innocence.

Back in December I paid this office in full for a traffic citation they were to handle for me. Here, 6 months later, I am still receiving collections notices from the county court regarding the same traffic citation and every single time I call their office I get the exact same answer: That court is difficult to contact. I understand that the court in question may be difficult to contact but after 6 months of waiting patiently I should at least by now get a little more concern from the lawyer I hired and paid in full up front.

I was so fortunate to have Mr. Anthony Contrell handle my legal case. He was persistent/thorough and worked thru the legal "maze" skillfully and extremely professionally! I would never have been able to have my case dismssed & my innocence restored without his tireless efforts over several monthsl His staff is very approachable and always available when needed! I highly recommend Mr. Contrell Law Office. You will be served extremely well!

Mr. Cantrell was my court appointed attorney for a drug misdemeanor. And for a year and half he fought and fought to have my case dismissed, what court appointed lawyer does that? Most court appointed attorneys would have given up or told me to plea guilty, but no this guy didn't. Mr. Cantrell fought to have the outcome I wanted. I'll tell you this, this man is one hell of lawyer with great dedication. He doesn't really talk much or anything I assume it's the way he is, but don't worry he'll take care of you. I thank and appreciate everything this man did for me, thanks to Mr. Cantrell I don't have a conviction. I'm 19 years old and throughout this experience I learned a lesson in all this. It was a very poignant experience because he didn't have to do everything he did to have my case dismissed, he could have said plea guilty but nope he didn't I say this again to get a point across, this shows that he is compassionate in other words, caring and dedicated. I thank him and his co-workers very much.

A young lady answered the line with "Law offices, how can I help you?" I said "Good morning, this is Cesar..." She interrupted with "Who?" I repeated "Cesar - I got a speeding ticket and I wanted to make an appointment." She responded with "For what...?" I can easily detect a negative attitude, and this young lady had one. I answered with "The speeding ticket." She said she can help me over the phone. She asked how much I was speeding, 79/65. Asked my age, 27. She says "Okay... so it'll be $550.00 because its almost 30 miles over..." Mind you, 79 - 65 = 14. I didn't waste time correcting her. I asked "What's going to happen? Will it be removed from my record?" She said "Yes it will, but you'll also have to take defensive driving." I said "I see. That's good information." Then she hung up. I'm not sure if she's being overworked, underpaid, lacking interpersonal / soft skills, having a bad day and bringing her personal life to work, or maybe she was in the middle of watching a youtube video and I interrupted her. The fact that she wasn't too great at math doesn't bother me, I'm used to double-checking other people's work. Word of advice: try your best to stay professional when on the clock. You know better.
