Case opened in April 2021/Still pending (as of Jan 2023). *Probate matter* UPDATE: Following my initial review at the beginning of January (below), the firm reached out to apologize and offered to cover the remainder of our case expenses until completion. Since then, they have followed through. I was told the issue was with the probate court, although I could not verify that. Since, I have only been in correspondence with my actual attorney and things have been moving at a faster, more deliberate pace. Gave 3 stars for their effort to make things right, but wish it could have been like this at the start of my representation. I've been with this firm since April of 2021. Some things went well in the beginning. They were responsive and seemed like they would be there for our family, but unfortunately, poor communication (in all forms), excessive billing, and careless case management became all too prevalent. Clearly not a military-friendly law firm given some of the commentary and treatment I observed. Support and pandering to opposing counsel and repeatedly lied to, as well as belittled by their paralegal. Unprofessional. Asked to keep secrets from my family and other staff members. Rarely dealt with my "supposed" attorney (their paralegal does all the work), nor was I provided any solid counsel regarding my case (and whether I agreed with certain actions or if alternatives could be discussed). They basically filed motions without explanation, lied to me about the "requirements" for my case and billed me. Just found out yesterday (via the courthouse) that they made mistakes, lied to me again, and promptly billed me for it. At this point, our family has now grieved the losses of 3 members in less than a year. We are in the middle of yet another PCS move with two small children to raise and a job change. I'd like to think they can't be this inhumane towards one family, but I do find myself looking over my shoulder as they strategize a thousand ways to pick my family apart and take any money we have left. I do not post reviews often and am a fairly reasonable person, but this is more than just getting a bad haircut. Advice to others: If you're not a client and care about your family/sanity - AVOID this law firm (especially any military members--they do not care about your timeline/duties). If you are an existing/former client - Document every encounter and interaction. Check the Bexar County portal (registry of actions/smart search often). PROTECT YOURSELF, YOUR CASE, AND YOUR RIGHTS by reading the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, and the grievance and ethics procedures on the State Bar of Texas' website. *Updated rating and review to follow at the end of this month.

Please please use this law firm. My only regret is that I did not find them sooner. Murray Lind ability in what he does is almost super natural. My interactions with this person was life changing. The people answering the phone made sure I was taken care of. When you get to a point where you have to hire a lawyer, you are already so emotional destroyed. This law firm understands this! I only wish I met Murray so much sooner.

I highly recommend this practice. I have worked with Derek, Vanessa, Sidney Reed, and Murray Lind. The practice is high energy, and everyone was superb to work with. They were able to quickly decide what to do in a complicated situation. Murray Lind explained things to me every step of the way and worked with tireless determination.

I never give 5 star reviews but in this situation with me being new to SA when this initially happened I was very upset and scared. Upon the initial conversation with Vanessa I had immediate relief in knowing the retainer was gonna be cheap enough specifically after speaking to other law firms. Even tho I feel like the initial day we met with CPS was drug out a bit they still managed to return a small portion of the $1500 retainer which most firms will be sure doesn't happened. I highly recommend this firm. He was tough and the case got dismissed the same day. If I would of faced the issue alone I doubt the same outcome would of happened. Thanks Derek and staff!

Love this lawyer she made things so easy in my divorce, I even got a refund of the initial deposit. Very professional, responsive and thorough. I have a special needs child/assets as well and she made sure I got the best deal for my daughter and me. I highly recommend her.
