Karen Marvel is an extremely competent and well educated lawyer whom I retained 07/22/2022 for a very contentious and prolonged divorce which began in August 2019. Upon my first visit, she was very professional, very knowledgeable, and compassionate towards what I had been going through in the last 3 1/2 years. She offered much knowledge in regards to my case, by giving me hope for closure. She often would schedule a phone conference to help me better understand my case and offer the best economical way to handle each situation. We are filing a grievance to the texas board due to legal malpractice. When we were about to fire Derek Ritchie, he signed orders without informing us or even allowing my husband to agree to them. Put us in a bad spot considering what he signed off too would never of been agreed to by us but since we left that was his parting gift to us. Different paralegals in and out of the office and no one ever knows what’s going on

You get a good sense of the law firm when you enter his office. Everyone is very prompt to help you. Mr. Dereck helped me get my child back. He fought for me even on December 23; he called to confirm that my child would spend Christmas with me (up to that time, I did not saw my child for twelve months). The office of Derek S Ritchie are very informative and good listener and EXPERT in the Courtroom for your defense. Mr. Ritchie is a God send to our family and was able to intervene and get our grandchildren out of CPS custody within 3 months. Our case is now close. Hire and fire for fun, the company dynamic is segregation, and they offer authority to unqualified and undereducated individuals. The professionalism is subpar. The owner performs well as an attorney, even though he’s only been barred in America for about 3 years. I would prefer this practice if it had seasoned attorneys on staff, but there is absolutely no likelihood a seasoned attorney would work somewhere like that. Your funds for your case will disappear in days before your eyes. Go with a firm where your needs are the focal, not tedious tasks you will be getting billed for, unlike most locations.
