Todd told me on multiple occasions that he was going to find out some information about my case and he would get back to me. He did not get back to me at all. His assistant Cassidy also said she was going to do some work and contact me and she never did. The law firm itself did not return my calls on two or three different occasions. Please don't go here.

I’m not sure why everyone else has had a negative experience. We filed ch 7 bankruptcy and everything went smoothly and very quickly. Every time I had a question Jane our paralegal was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Todd Malaise!

Just received denial letter from SSA for disability. Firm had an agent call me with a questionnaire and determined, without seeing the contents of the letter, that I had a "technical" denial, and stated I could not be helped. Called the firm and possibly talked to a paralegal. Again refused to listen to the circumstances stated on the letter, which contained numerous inaccuracies. Also refused to consider I'm a 100% disabled veteran, concurrently rated "individually unemployable." Ultimately was told I should read the requirements on the SSA website. Well, I did. This law firm is only looking for the easy clients and has a poor sense of justice and fairness. Will not recommend this firm to my friends. "Also in 2009, both houses of Congress introduced legislation known as the BRAVE Act1 that would certify veterans judged by the VA to have total disability (that is, having a combined rating of 100% or a rating of individual unemployability [IU]) as meeting the medical requirements of the disability programs administered by SSA. Essentially, a veteran with a rating of total disability would not have to undergo the medical portions of SSA's disability determination to be eligible to receive Social Security disability benefits." https://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/ssb/v74n3/v74n3p1.html

Don't go to these guys. They will take your money and not listen to your needs. I went in and told them I wanted to file a chapter 7 then a 13. I didn't want to file a 13 first and they talked me into it like that was my only choice. I did my homework and knew what I wanted to do but they already had my money. So I failed in the 13 because like I told them in the fist place I couldn't afford the plan payment. This last time they dropped the ball on me was last week. They were supposed to fax over a consent for to my mortgage company. They didn't. And now it is costing me precious time, 3 to 4 weeks in negotiations with my mortgage company to work out a loan modification.

If you're lucky enough to be treated with respect from the start, that's as far as it's going to go. Once your case is confirmed, good luck getting anyone in that awful and lazy office to get anything done on your case. Margaret Munoz is currently my case manager and after numerous calls, ACTUAL office visitations, and pleas to speak with someone who may have answers, absolutely nothing is done. She refuses to take my phone calls every time I call. When my situation became an emergency, I went to the office in effort to see or speak to someone. I was turned away, told that Ms. Munoz will not see me because I hadn't set up an appointment. How can I set up an appointment if she refuses to speak with me? I've had the worst experience. One thing that is great about San Antonio is that there are NUMEROUS OTHER BANKRUPTCY LAW FIRMS to go to. If you're concerned at all about saving your home and trying to consolidate your debt, TURN AROUND AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
