I had an opportunity to meet with Mrs. Vance recently and i have to say i was blown away by her level of expertise and her compassion. She is truly a public servant that wants you to succeed on your case and will do what is in her power to assist in that. I am grateful to have met that angel on my journey of child custody. My battle has taken me to two other lawyers that were less costly but cost me know ore in time, effort and energy. For that reason, i have exhausted many resources and everything seemed so fuzzy and unknown (super scary). Lisa has a unique ability to consult you into understanding (if that makes sense). She didn't make me feel ignorant (like my last lawyer) and made me feel like my story mattered (unlike my first lawyer).

To everyone that is on my case, the way y'all handled all the ups and downs, all the hardships and everything, using your expertise and keeping my best interest in your heart, has meant so much to me. I have known Lisa for at least 6 years. I had a very contested divorce and although it's over now Lisa and I had to go through very specific details of my 26 year marriage because the issues were important to my case. You don't realize how important your lawyer will be to you and your family until you are faced with really tough issues like I was. Lisa's integrity is intact and knowing what I know now about our legal system and how we can still abide by legal rules but have to deal with a dishonest spouse or a dishonest attorney on the other side I appreciate that my attorney Lisa Vance was there to represent me when I wasn't able to stand up for my rights as a wife and mother. The legal system is what it is and Lisa has the experience as a litigator to protect your rights. She is prepared when she goes to court on your behalf and focuses on making sure that you and your children are protected. I am glad that a friend referred to her to me and that I stuck with her although there were tough times and very difficult issues to deal with. As a human being, you can tell what Lisa's passions are by stepping into her office. Her staff is unique and her love and passion for animals is as great as it is for human beings. She cares and it's evident in the way she manages her office and the people who work for her. She is a wonderful human being and I would recommend her services to anyone who is in need of a lawyer who will listen to what the issues are and tries to first resolve amicably and then fight for your rights. I am currently going through a divorce after 26 years of marriage. Lisa and her team has made this experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Lisa is empathetic, wise and well respected by peers. Our family was dealing with serious false allegations and a difficult ex continuously filing erroneous motions. She helped us get the best possible result. She is the second attorney we hired in San Antonio and is leaps and bounds better than the opposing attorney (who has a good reputation) and our past attorney. Custody issues are so hard to go through. We wish we would have chosen Lisa to begin with. She was less expensive than our previous attorney. She will keep you out of the courtroom - if at all possible. She knows the right therapists, evaluators and mediators in the area. Lisa has a team that will keep you up to date and answer all your questions. You will get a speedy response from her and her team. Lisa called us directly within 1 day of our initial call to her office for a lengthy consult. Attorneys just don't do this. She cares. I cannot say that enough. I hope my review can help someone else find Lisa, an attorney with compassion - but she is a shark too!! Visiting her office is more like visiting your favorite aunt. She has a beautiful garden that surrounds an old Victorian home and cats and pups always around. She loves animals too. Who could ask for more? We will always keep her number in our phones. We wouldn't call anyone else.

She “took the bull by the horns” Mrs. Vance saw me through a horrible custody case. It was one of the toughest times of my life and it was ripping my happy little world apart. Ms. Vance taught me how to do the right thing “take the high road” as she called it, even when that was the last thing I wanted to do. She was an absolute powerhouse in the courtroom. She is also very creative, and offered me several different options on how to handle my case. She even showed me how to do some of the paralegals work so I would save money on the legal fees. Ms. Vance helped me through a very rough divorce and saw to it that all my resources were not drained by ex-wife. She pointed out many specifics that I hadn't an idea existed. I couldn't imagine where I'd be today without the help of her and her staff.
