An issue related to the IRS/Federal taxes came up late in the game of our selling a house. We needed competent and quick help so the sale could move forward. We found Melissa Ellis and she was able to work with us, the IRS, and the home title company and buyer to resolve the problem quickly and allowed the sale to go through with little delay. I would highly recommend Melissa for all tax related legal work needed. She is knowledgable, practical, and very easy to work with. She is also very responsive to client queries.

Melissa Ellis has been a life-saver for me and my family. My husband passed away in 2014 after a 10 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Prior to his death, he had been working with Melissa on back taxes owed for his business. As you can imagine, I was basically lost after my husband's passing. I retained Melissa to represent me on a tax matter related to a divorce settlement. The worst part was the constant harassment/threats by the IRS via certified letters from different parts of the bureaucracy. The BEST Attorney I have ever used. I have engaged over 10 other attorneys in course of business, from litigation, contract, and personal legal services. A previous business owner I built a medium sized company with millions in payroll tax liabilities. My company collapsed, I was then bankrupt, had no means to pay the IRS liabilities. Bankruptcy would not clear this liability. Payroll tax trust fund liabilities are not forgivable. The IRS was relentless, wage garnishments from myself and my spouse. The IRS agents were even so bold to claim to take away social security in 25 years from now in retirement, after a lifetime of wage garnishments. The IRS agents relished in the kill and wanted blood, they could not be reasoned with or negotiated with. I could not move on from this self-inflicted disaster, no one who did back ground checks would hire me! I was ruined, no amount of money that I could earn would fix my problem. Melissa developed a plan and short of a miracle being worked settled my case with the IRS for less than 3-5% of my tax liability including Melissa's fees. Keep in mind I was liable for over a million! Melissa got the strangling liens released and cleaned my financial record. I was employable again and able to start my life over! Melissa, Is by far the most productive attorney per billable hour that I have ever used. Most or at least some attorneys take advantage of you when you are desperate, not Melissa. She works with you and gets results and does not string you along like some other large firms. These large firms assign you to a newbie, and are all about billable hours.
