Pro - 4 Stars: Knowledgeable and professional Con - minus 2 Stars: Cost. Very expensive in my opinion. Cost: Initial consultation $200, which will be applied towards the Trust or Will. $5,000 for a Trust, and $2,500 for a Will. She would assist with filing documentation where possible. Pricing was upfront. 50% initially, and 50% upon completion. Refunds are possible, minus any any work already done at $400 per hour, and if you paid by credit card merchant fees (around 2.8%). Ms. Skeen is kind and knowledgeable; however, she is also very expensive. If you have a small estate, that won't require much in the way of paperwork and research (a normal household in my opinion), then you may want to use a different firm for a much lower cost. If you have a complicated situation, (multiple businesses, homes, kids with former wives) then her flat rate vs. time will be your choice.

I can't say enough about our experience with the Skeen Law firm! We went in with very rudamentary understanding of estate law and planning and we went away with a much greater understanding! We felt we could ask any question and actually understood the answers. We will absolutely be using Skeen Law for all of our planning and probate needs in the future. I recommend without hesitation!

Skeen Law is a full price, full service estate and probate law firm. This firm is very small and Amanda does her best to get to know clients on a personal level. While Skeen Law isn't the cheapest legal firm in San Antonio they do an outstanding job. Lindsey and Amanda came in over the holiday break to ensure my needs were met. If your loved one passed away and you aren't sure where to begin closing the estate this is a one stop shop. They go above and beyond for their clients and go out of their way to meet clients needs. If you want the job done correctly and are looking for a full service law firm Amanda and Lindsey will get it done.

I selected Skeen Law Firm based on fact that they had the best reviews for Estate Planning of any attorney on the north side of San Antonio. I understand now WHY Amada Skeen and firm have such great reviews. My wife and I wanted to set up a system where any assets we had , once one or both of us were deceased, would be distributed correctly, the recipient (heir) wouldn't have to deal with probate court and the process would be simple for them. Amanda was so helpful in explaining the options in the initial appointment. In that same initial meeting we were able to decide on and initiate the process for her firm to prepare a family trust package that spelled out all asset distribution and would include wills and medical directives. They quickly prepared all of the documentation, we picked it up for review, we marked up for a few minor changes required, and, a few days later, came back one final appointment to sign and finalize everything. We're so glad we choose Skeen Law Firm, Amanda was SO pleasant to work with and the whole process could not have been easier. 5 star firm all the way.
