My husband and I recently planned to interview several attorneys in order to select someone to advise us on revising our estate plan, but once we met Jim Voeller, we knew we didn’t need to look any further. Jim is extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough, and efficient. After a brief period of getting to know us and asking us a few questions, it was apparent that he “got us” and understood what we wanted and needed, even better than we did ourselves. He walked us through what each of the documents to be created should be and, even more importantly, how they fit together into a whole to take care of all of our planning needs. He offered us several good suggestions about issues and options to consider in structuring our wishes and helped us understand the whole estate planning process better than we had before. The whole process (which we had been dreading, prior to engaging Jim) was simple, straight-forward, and educational for us and completed in just a couple of weeks. Most of all, we feel that our family’s estate plan reflects what we want and need. His office staff is very efficient and pleasant, and it’s a real plus, while planning for our future, to know that his office has continuity in the form of his son and associate, David. We found the Voeller Law Firm through a referral from an attorney who did not specialize in trusts and estate planning. We needed help with trusts when my mother moved here from Arizona and she had a complex group of trusts that were hard to understand. We were immediately impressed with Jim's empathy and his ability to communicate not only with my mother (80-plus years old) but with me and my older brother as well. Jim offered several alternatives and my mother selected the options she desired. Based on this, Jim proposed a clear and fair fee structure that seemed completely reasonable to us. Everything was transparent, and the entire process went smoothly. Recently, my mother died and my brother and I were left tending to the details. Jim once again made the trust situation easy to understand. He offered us options and suggestions of where we could use his help and where we could handle things ourselves. Once again, he proposed a reasonable fee structure, and administering the estate went very well. We give the Voeller Law Firm a 100% job-well-done rating, and should we ever need assistance with estate planning or trusts, we have found our attorney. We are certain anyone looking for estate planning help would be very pleased with the services Jim and his capable staff provide.

The idea of estate planning seemed like a monumental task to us. We sought a suggestion from Warren Nossaman our Edward D. Jones financial advisor. We were looking for a person who stays abreast of the necessary legal and financial issues surrounding estate law. We also wanted an individual who is capable of communicating with us in a clear and concise manner and someone who would answer both our present and future questions. When we met Jim Voeller to discuss our situation we felt he would meet the above requirements in a competent and capable manner. In 2009 Mr. Voeller created an Estate Planning Portfolio specific to our family's needs. Anytime I have asked a question or a comment, Jim’s responses have been adequate, to the point, and in a timely manner.
