I cannot say enough good things about Sheila and her team. I had been to court twice previously for family court and it was a horrible nerve wracking experience. A friend finally told me about Sheila and I have felt like I was in good hands with her from day 1. She calmed my nerves through the entire process, was the most organized and friendly attorney I had ever met, and when it came down to family court she rocked it the entire way through. She will give you the confidence, communication, and tools you need to fight for your family. I will never recommend anyone other than Sheila!

went in and she was confident and was talking full custody of kids and mother pays me child support then we get ready for hearing after several months on waiting for a hearing the day before she tells me bring check stubs for child support and when I went in office morning of hearing she told me goal is to just see my kids that I wouldn't get full custody of my children. Her entire demeanor changed from first visit up until day of court I felt extremely confident at first and she gave me nothing but doubt and she seemed to think I was gonna lose and like she wasn't trying.

Sheila did a phenomenal job representing me. I really felt like the situation was hopeless but Sheila never lost hope and kindly supported me through the process of divorce/custody. She is a shark in the courtroom and a confidant to her clients. I cannot praise her enough. Because of her I have the most precious thing in my life..my daughter.

Divorce is draining emotionally and financially, especially with kids involved. The last straw was when my husband left our young children at home alone while I was working so he could get drunk with some friends. A friend of mine had used Shea & Shea several times before and referred me to their office. Sheila gave me confidence and hope. We were able to get a TRO and ultimately I was awarded primary custodian and his visitation is supervised for the first 6 months until he completes drug and alcohol classes. I'm very pleased with the service I received and would go back if I needed an attorney again. With my ex, I probably will.

This was my first experience with an attorney, and I can say I was 100% dissatisfied. First reason, I spent 2650.00 on a case that was free the first time with the exact same outcome. Why? I hired Sheila to represent me in a case that involved my children's custody and child support. The first visit I had with this woman she really acted like my case was great there was no way a court was going to not see the things I was talking about, then when the other party hired an attorney; sheila informed me we would at least need a plan b in case things went south. I was asking for no custody or at least supervised visitations just no over night. Sheila never asked me important questions about past arrangements with my children's other side of family which ultimately lead to the losing of my case. When arriving to court finally after nearly 5 months she spent all of her time going back and fourth with the other attorney trying to "settle" because if I was to show a judge I allowed my children to stay the night with grandma I would lose anyways, and not once mentioned the fact he was 7 years delinquent on child support. I was charged for my "free consultation" and when I attempted to confront the woman about it she proceeded to grill me with the fact she didn't charge me for all kinds of things for my case. I left out of anger and no words to her because I can honestly say this woman did not put any effort into this case. She assumed it would be cake walk, and that it was a quick money. The most important advice I can give is don't be fooled by the excitement she gives you in the first visit about your case. Explore your options first with a few others, and don't hire her on impulse.
