My name is Cynthia and I was sentenced to 30 years in TDCJ. My husband retained Ms. Redmond upon my incarceration. My first parole wasn’t for 3 1/2 years. During that time I had frequent contact with Ms. Redmond. As I would send her my accomplishments, not only would she send a letter telling me they were received, but there would be a personal note enclosed. She was always willing to speak despite her very busy schedule. As time went by she continually built a strong parole packet to be presented. Unfortunately I did not make my first parole or my second parole. Because of my criminal history the odds were heavily stacked not in my favor. None the less Lori never gave up on me and her glass was always half full. She stuck by me the whole time until parole was granted in my favor. I owe Ms. Redmond a debt of gratitude for without her I wouldn’t be free today.
