When custody battles go wrong they can turn into criminal battles, and before i knew it, i am answering questions to police about allegedly committing the most heinous acts against a person. It amazes me the lengths of lies and darkness people will go to just to destroy another person. I had started losing hope in the system and humanity in general and realized that there is nothing that i can do to make things better on my own when fighting a barrage of lies that only has one purpose, to destroy me and my new spouse and get people locked away in jail for a long time. I talked with several attorneys around town and my own brother is even an attorney, but when i talked with David Kiatta, he just seemed to understand and listen to everything that i said and after our first consultation i already had some ease of mind. He was there for me through this entire process and went above and beyond what he was hired to do. After it is all said and done, i got to know him and wow, what a great guy! Thanks just don't say enough when someone is there for us like this through one of the most stressful and insane times of our lives. David has been instrumental in helping me not only in my legal matters but with my personal life as well. 0430 25 Dec. Christmas morning in Fort Bend, Texas, a young man decided to steal from me. I saw him breaking in on my security cameras. I addressed the issue and the burglar. I am a Black man in Texas. Even with footage from my surveillance cameras and being well within the requirements of the castle doctrine, (this happened between dusk and dawn, and on property under my control) I still needed an attorney. From the moment I first spoke with Attorney Kiatta he was respectful and empathetic. He made me feel as though he understood my fear as well as made me comfortable. He also expertly explained the process and kept me up to date as the case progressed. Attorney Kiatta was always reasonably available. When I would call and he was unavailable he’d text right back saying “I’LL CALL YOU RIGHT BACK…!!” or something to that effect and he did. He sat outside my murder grand jury hearing and was the first person I saw when I walked out. (Defense Attorneys aren't allowed in the court during a grand jury hearing) No Bill!!!! I’m beyond thankful for this generous man. This man is so much better than the $10/mo insurance offered at your CHL/LTC class. He provides top notch service. My family and I are grateful. David was able to get my felony drug possession case dismissed completely. In a months time. I only had to go to court one time. This man is AMAZING!! You can tell in the first few minutes of speaking with him how smart this man is. I hope I never need him again but I am so glad that I know he is there. My fiancé was facing a felony DWI charge and we didn’t know where to turn. We were highly recommended to David Kiatta by a family, attorney friend. I was facing multiple charges (DWI and assault). David was recommended by a family member, and after the initial consultation, I was 100% sure I was going to use David as my Lawyer. I was facing my second DWI charge in Harris County when I met David Kiatta. I was looking at jail time and other severe punishment for my actions. Mr. Kiatta knew I needed help. He took it upon himself to get me into a rehabilitation facility. This was only the first step of many that David Kiatta took to help me. He convinced the judge that treatment was the best option for me and I was allowed to leave the state for three months. When I was finished with my treatment, Mr. Kiatta once again went above and beyond. My final sentencing in Harris County for DWI 2nd was time served and court fees. NO jail time, and NO probation.There is NO WAY I would be where I am today without David Kiatta. He will fight for your rights and he will work to get you what you deserve. He is an incredible attorney, mentor, and friend. He is still, to this day, an important part of my continuing recovery.
