My attorney goes above and beyond for her clients. She is not rude, but a very stern woman who does not play about wasting her time. She definitely helped me in my situation and I have seen her in court fight for her clients like a pitbull fighting for their lives. She is one of the best black femaleattorneys in the Texas area. I had a great experience with her.

She was unprofessional from the time she took my sons case. She doesn't follow up with her client. She belittled myself and my son when we had questions. She will tell you she has other cases to tend to as if you're not a priority as well. She threatened my son to take a plea that he did not want to take in court and if he didn't she was not going to continue with his case. She does not speak like an attorney. She does not dress appropriately in court, in fact she had on a pair of nursing crock shoes with a dress. She was late to court. Not one time before my sons court date did she visit him or contact him about his case. She is rude, talks over you, and her attitude is nasty. This is not the person you would want to represent you or a loved one. She will not fight for you.

Hired by my nephew, and she has not contacted him or talked to him. When asked by relatives she got very rude. We don't what to she the money. Should we ask for a refund? Never will she be involved with this family again. I don't know how she makes any money.

How on earth this person still has a job is utterly amazing. Never in my life have I been spoke to in a terrible unprofessional way. RUDE is an understatement. But she is the professional?!?!? If you don’t like your life change it!!!!!!! Don’t take it out on innocent by standards asking for help!!Just Amazing how she can get away with speaking and treating HUMANS the way she does. Just Wow. What an EMBARRASSMENT.

Called to get some help and she belittled me and was terribly ride. I got off the phone in tears she made me feel so bad about myself and hung up in my face. Quoted me $10,000 when other lawyers I spoke with have been very helpful & quoted me $5000 and $3000. This woman does not deserve to be a license lawyer. The reviews are accurate, she is terrible!

Don’t hire her bad with communication, bad additude, and took my money I hired her for a felony case paid her then she took forever to send my receipt i should’ve known them to fire her

She has been appointed to represent me she has a very rude attitude and is very disrespectful my wife tried to talk to her while(wife) was in the attorney general office and they heard the way was talking on the phone so not only have we but also the attorney general office in Smith county has filed a complaint against her with the state attorney general office and the veteran treatment court is also going to be fileing against her just maybe by doing this she will be disbarred from every working in the court system anymore

Hired her in 2016 for a felony case and I ended up paying her and come to find out later that any other attorney in town could of gotten my case dismissed or dropped to misdemeanor and I settled for 5 years probation. She also constantly belittled me it was horrible.

Mrs. Melontree was very unprofessional was always late to court and would have an attitude every meet up, when asking for a update she would tell you don’t worry about it, i was out on bond and had court and she told me not to show up she would handle it luckily i went instead of listening to her or i would’ve had my bond revoked and a warrant for my arrest, i could got myself the same sentence by myself or a better one with a court appointed don’t waste your money at all it isn’t worth it.

I should have known not to have her on my case when we had our first meeting and she failed to mention that she charged a $250 consultation fee until afterwards. 2/3 of my court dates passed and we hadn’t met up once to discuss anything, despite me attempting to keep regular contact with her. When I brought this up, she told me it was because I hadn’t been indicted yet which come to find out, was not true and I had already been indicted for one of my cases. She only contacted me when it was regarding money. She was aware of the fact that I live paycheck to paycheck and was barely scraping by to even afford her but yet somehow it was my fault when she neglected to run my debit card on the original pay date and waited 2 weeks, then got mad when I told her she would have to wait a few days until I got paid again. She’s had an unnecessarily insulting attitude with me more than once and when I confronted her she said “what’s wrong with you?” She was a waste of money, energy, and time, which is 3 things I couldnt afford to lose.
