Buck Files took us in his office and listened to each member of our family. He was compassionate, honest, and encouraging. He did not hide the truth of the situation, but was very knowledgeable about the legal situation we were experiencing. It is comforting to know someone who is well-trained and wise about the situation is on your team.

My charge was aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Mr. Files met with me and over the course of two years the case was dismissed. During those two years he and his staff were in constant contact, Very professional and genuinely cared for me. I have no negative comments about Mr. Files. I will say his staff is extraordinary. He and his staff through years of experience and relationships with the DA and prosecutors give him an “upper hand” vs others counselors. I never questioned his approach but I am very pleased with the outcome.

He worked to get my case accepted by the Smith County District Attorney's Office for the Pre-Trial Intervention Program. Their agreement was then approved by Judge Ellis. Thoroughly explained all charges in a clear and concise manner. Quickly identified options and gave me the necessary information to make a decision on the best course of action.
