Poor service, I tried getting representation. Called couple weeks ago. I stated if I could get help ? Ye or ne but instead I got hung up on. I wish I knew the person that answers the phone to give him a piece of my mind. Please don’t contact me!!!!! 2/28/24

Edit to say-the attorney finally called me back and he “took time out of his day” to call me because I left the review. He also mentioned that he was sorry that a 1 day turn around wasn’t “good enough for me”. I proceeded to tell him, “no, that was last Thursday, not yesterday Thursday”. And then I made the point of, if I called last Thursday and said I haven’t received a call or anything, and your office did in fact send an email (it’s still unsure if I mistyped my email address or if they spelled my name wrong, my name is spelled a weird way, so it gets misspelled all the time), why wouldn’t they call me back that day or the next day and say, “I’m sorry Ms. Holt, we did send an email, did you not get it?” And then ALL OF THIS could have been avoided. But no. His response was, “Well, I can’t justify what my office staff does” or something like that. So with that, I’ll change my review to a 2 star because I finally did get a response. He stated multiple times that we haven’t hired him so there’s no relationship. I get that, but I had questions, hence why I filled out the form in the first place. Not to just get a generic email(I still haven’t received yet) saying they can’t help because the person is still employed. I wanted to talk with an attorney to get some answers. Oh, and note at this point I’m aware that an employment attorney won’t be helpful because he is employed, it’s FMLA lawsuit we’re seeking. And his response was “I’m not going to educate you on employment law”. I’m sorry, relationship or no relationship, I feel like sometimes it is the attorneys job to educate someone who doesn’t know the law. So all in all, I’ll update to a 2 star review, because he did call me back and because he asked MULTIPLE times for me to change it. But it sounds like their office doesn’t have it together, he sounds like he couldn’t care less about a persons situation unless it’s going to make him money. But I could be completely wrong. I do know this, if the job is terminated, I will spend days finding another attorney, and if I can’t find one, I still won’t use Hommel. I’d love to leave a good review, but I can’t. I called and talked to a lady over 3 weeks ago(I can’t remember if it was around 1/24 or 1/31, pretty sure it was the 24th) and explained the situation. She told me to fill out the form online so I did. Once submitted, the website said it takes 6-8 business days for the legal team to get back with me. I called back on 2/15 and left a message because I hadn’t heard back yet. Now it’s 2/22 and I still have yet to hear anything. Everyone who knows the situation says it’s a slam dunk case. I could be wrong, but the least they could do is call and say there’s no case. At that point, I’d like to know why because again…without going into details on here, it’s a solid case. 100%. Maybe leaving a review will light a fire under the partners backside and get someone to return a phone call, then I can update my review.

Always kept me posted of what was going on and answered all my questions promptly. Will definitely recommend to everyone that needs a great employment attorney. 5 stars.

If you need an experienced, attorney to represent you, you can go just about anywhere and you’ll find one. However, if you want an attorney that speaks the language of law fluently with extensive courtroom experience as well as your best interest in mind, go to Hommel Law Firm. But the experience doesn’t stop with Mr. Hommel. Mr. Hommels assistant Natashea was just as knowledgeable and helpful as he was. I was most impressed with Natashea’s patience. She will take the time to answer all of your questions all while having a sense of empathy and care. If you want the best defense possible against those who’ve wronged you, retain the Hommel Law Firm.

I don't typically leave reviews, but Mr. Hommel and Natashea made an incredibly stressful situation very easy for me to handle and brought me peace of mind when I really needed it. Great communication from people who clearly care.
