Estate planning was made easy for our family when I was referred to Kaitlin Philley with Hardesty Law Office. I felt at ease with the first phone call to go over our estate and start preparing documents. When it was time to review the drafts, she was available for questions and any concerns. It was great to receive quality, professional services with a smile. Kaitlin took the time and allowed us to share our family story, giving all of us a better understanding of our needs. I would highly recommend her for any estate planning and attorney services.

I have filed a formal complaint with the Texas Bar. It has been 6 months and she STILL has not returned my remaining retainer or sent me my file, both of which are required. She took forever to finish the work (months and months), her work product was ok, but the biggest issue is how she played bait-and-switch on the cost. Once she had my retainer, suddenly I wasn't worth her time and it was pulling teeth getting her to respond. The total was way more than we discussed. Since I put a retainer down, she already had my money. When I tried to discuss these charges, she was extremely short and wouldn't even discuss it. Some specifics: - She charged me for emails that never occurred - She charged me $35 for each invoice, and charged me for the automated email that told me there was an invoice. - She forgot to attach a document to an email (which she charged me for), then charged me again for the follow up email with the attachment - Worst of all, she asked me if I wanted to do more work. I said no, and that I wanted to just stick to the original agreement. She asked me to sign a form saying that she offered me and I declined. I didn't think anything of it, so I told her I would. She charged me for all of those call/emails where she was trying to upsell me, and charged me for drafting the letter unrelated to my original services. I refused extra services, but she found a way to get money out of me anyway ($600+ for extra services I declined) Rwan fits that negative lawyer stereotype. She is the queen of nickel and dime and bait-and-switch.

I had the pleasure of working with Kaitlin Philly on creating a family trust. Kaitlin is very knowledgeable of estate planning and patiently answered the many questions I asked her. I will definitely be referring my friends and family members to her for their estate planning needs.

Took the time to listen to our family goals and needs and help us choose the right path forward. Appreciate Kaitlin was able to turn it around quickly and efficiently. Will definitely work with them again for our families needs.

Ms. Philley is a warm and experienced attorney who knows how to listen and give the client what they need. She was very comfortable to work with.

I came across the Hardesty law firm after dealing with another law firm that wouldn’t take my case. I called Brittney, and it was like talking to a business that cares about the client, she routed me to Lindsay and the ball started rolling for the good. It didn’t take that long for my case to get settled. Tim represented me in court and it was painless. My case was an easy one. Overall the Hardesty Law group is your great hometown family law firm and is my family’s lawyer. They listen to your concerns, give upfront answers, and don’t try to come up with an outrageous retainer fees. Great law firm and I highly recommend them. Mike B.

I Will say that all the negative post about hardesty and being a client of Lindsey and her assistant are true. These ladies have barely spoken to me. Every meeting we had scheduled, they never show up and the assistant's excuse is "she's in the courthouse" or "shes on vacation" (we got this excuse atleast 4 times last year). I've heard absolutely no update on my case in almost a year. Been trying to get an update, but yep ,you've guessed It ,no response or reply. I notice they tend to try to discredit bad reviews.I assure you I have not the time or reason to post a random bad review.They've literally ignored my case and my attempts to get updates. Other than that like everyone mentioned lindsey is very knowledgeable and probably is a great lawer, I just wouldn't know because either her or her assistant is horrible at managing clients and hasn't done much work on my case.

KAITEN IS VERY ACCOMMADATING. I HAD TO CHANGE OUR TIME TO MEET TWICE. SHE ARRANGE HER TIME AND SCEDULE TO MEET MY NEEDS. I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED.
