A different attorney from her firm was representing me but he recently retired. Since then she has told a 3rd party that I'm responsible for a bill that my ex is actually responsible for - the opposite of representing me. In response to information that was sent to me through her, she forwarded the email with the message "Please see below and attached. Best," for that she billed me $130. She provided no insight or advice or direction for a response that was needed within 30 days. I responded myself without any assistance or input from her. For a response I completed myself without any involvement by her, she billed me $97.50. I asked her multiple times to withdraw from my case. One of her responses to my request to get the withdrawal filed with the court was "Yes, I have two versions of the withdrawal ready to go. The delay was whether I needed to file a notice or a motion. Best," Why prepare 2 versions? Of course, she opted for the motion which will require her continuing involvment until I'm able to get the court to remove her. She billed me $237.35 to file her withdrawal and set it up for her to be able to bill me more before she's actually removed from my case. This is in addition to thousands she has billed me over the past few years for reviewing the work done by the other attorney in her office.
