I have worked with Avery Burdsal & Fale, PC for several years. Competence comes in when we need a thorough understanding of key legal issues. This saves everyone time and money. These guys know how to execute legal paperwork, motions, and actions in court proceedings. In short, competence is getting the job done. But Judgment is not so easy to measure. If there is an issue that is worth pursuing, they tell us how to get it done. But there are also times that good judgment helps us avoid litigation. I had the privilege of getting helped by Rob at PacLegal a couple years ago. There was an incident where I was being accused by the Pleasant Grove police of something I didn't do. The officer in charge apologized to me "off the record" indicating that he was just having a bad day and that he didn't intend for me to get arrested or charged. He suggested that if I came in the following day he could get something worked out. Unfortunately, after my experience that day I didn't trust how they would behave and didn't feel comfortable being alone with them again. So I decided to call Pac Legal. They immediately went to work gathering info on what happened. They requested footage from the vehicles and body cams and we were told that the footage had mysteriously vanished. This left us with a situation of 1 guy's word (i.e. mine) against 4 police officers who's reports all echoed the same misrepresentation the police officer apologized for "off record". Sadly attempting to get the footage, instead of trusting that the officer would clear me, made them double down on charges. I was facing some serious trouble and Pac Legal was able to get the city and court to agree to a plea in abeyance and a small fine. While I'd have hoped for a verbal apology on channel 4 news from each of the officers, I knew that wasn't possible. So I was grateful to PacLegal for helping to put the right pressure on the city to prevent the jail time and much larger fines I was facing...which would have included the long term problems that come with a criminal record. Instead, I was able to get back to running my business. PacLegal even reached out when the time had passed to let me know that my record was now clear again. They really do take a personal but professional approach to mitigate an otherwise impossible situation.

We have a special needs son. A few years ago, I decided we needed better attention and services for him especially at school. His 6th and 7th grade years were difficult and we were frustrated. I had Mr. Avery come to our school and join in the IEP meeting which was planned before 8th grade. The meeting was a success and the school sat up and paid attention! My son's future years were so much easier because I had an advocate with influence. Did an amazing job

Post surgery, my husband was in an Intensive Care Unit and was not doing well. We had not expected his death and were not prepared for that possibility. Rob Avery of Pacific Legal Group made the time in his schedule to help us prepare a will. After my husband did pass away, Mr. Avery guided me through the process of setting up the estate account, paying the bills and eventually disbursing the remaining funds. It was such a relief to have excellent legal help through the emotional roller coaster of that life event. I highly recommend Pacific Legal Group.
