My wife and I were hurt in a car accident, and we wanted to find someone who would handle our case with personal attention and detail. We were nervous because we knew there were tons of companies out there who just churn through clients and don't really care about the PEOPLE, but NOT Jake. That is exactly the opposite of how Jake works with his clients. He is a family guy, and understands how to treat his clients with kindness, and consideration. He takes the time to explain complicated legal terms in easy to understand ways. We're very grateful we chose Jake Gunter and Howard, Lewis & Petersen.

My husband was in car accident, with pretty serious injuries. Unfortunately we knew fairly quick that we would need to hire counsel to help us with hospital bills, loss of wages, etc. We were blessed beyond measure to have met, and retain Jacob Gunter. He was professional, kind, understanding, and a pleasure to work with. These are all very important qualities when working with an attorney, especially in the situation we were in. I cannot say enough about Mr. Gunter and his staff.

2018 I got into this car accident, it was horrible. I didn’t know what to do but I was advised to get a lawyer. Thanks to the reviews from Howard Lewis and Petersen I decided they would be a good option to check out.! I can tell you they did not disappoint. My first meeting took all the stress and anxiety I had about handling the case, and after that the whole process has been smooth sail. What I appreciate most about my lawyer Ken is that he is detailed oriented, he explained what would happen, expectations on the case, ran through timelines on about how long things might take, and sought for my best interest. This wasn’t only once though, anytime we talked, it was in detailed! Even though I knew they were busy, they always made me feel like a priority and that made the difference. I am so thankful for them and their team! Also, their paralegal, Alyssa is amazing! and Karen who works at the front desk is the kindest person ever.

After I scheduled a FREE consultation- the staff was 45 min late to our scheduled time. I asked my questions for 30 min and realized this practice was so entrenched in patriarchal support- that I would not be represented fairly in my custody battle. I was then issued an invoice 30 days later for this FREE consultation. I spoke to them and pointed out that not once in our communication did they say if I didn’t hire them my consultation would be charged at $175.00 . If you are a woman - do not use this office !

Jacob is a great attorney. I highly recommend his services. He's personable, smart, and good at his job. He helped me understand everything going on and outlined for me all of the options I had. His staff is fantastic and kept me up to date on everything. Would definitely use him again.
