The divorce lawyers at Just Law are stellar at what they do. They care about their clients and protect them throughout the court process. They know what they're doing in court and at mediation. The judges and commissioners respect them, and so do other divorce attorneys, which means they get better results for their clients. You want Just Law by your side during your divorce.

SOLID attorney. After having met with quite a few other attorneys about my complicated and daunting child custody situation, I was referred to Spencer Ricks by a friend. That referral completely turned my situation around. From our first meeting, he cut through all of the confusion instantly, asked all of the right questions to gain an understanding of what we were dealing with, and started putting together a game-plan. My situation with my son is night and day from what it was, and that is ENTIRELY due to Spencer, and his case manager, Liz’s, handling of my case. A couple of things that made the difference: - As a guardian ad litem in Utah, Spencer works with some pretty traumatic family law cases involving minors where he needs to look out for the best interests of the child, and is very used to dealing with tense and heartrending child custody cases. Soooo yeah, good luck ruffling his feathers. - Spencer and Liz were always quick to get back to me with any updates, or answers to questions. From writing up and filing an incredibly long and complicated motion with less than a day’s notice before the deadline, to dealing with minor interactions with the other party’s legal counsel, there wasn’t any point where my case was waiting on Spencer or Liz. - Spencer is very good at reading people and situations. He asked the right questions, but he wasted no time in arriving at conclusions. He was also direct with me, and didn’t beat around the bush about my intentions or what I could expect out of our motion. He didn’t hesitate to tell me when I was being an idiot. - VERY prepared. He was thoroughly unsurprised by the opposing counsel’s tactics - the same could not be said on their side. - Spencer and Liz make an excellent team. He seems to trusts his staff and vice versa, and hires staff he can trust (see “Spencer is very good at reading people”). They won’t sling mud or use dirty tactics to help your case, but they were great at approaching the situation from an unexpected angle to find the best solution. Again, my situation is night and day from what it was, or what I hoped it would be in my wildest dreams when I started this process. And by the way, just comparing total legal costs, since he doesn’t waste time, going with Spencer was EASILY the most cost-effective avenue I could have taken.

Laura Hansen-Pelcastre, Conor, Liz, Melissa and the rest of the Just Law team are phenomenal. Laura is a very knowledgeable and experienced family attorney. Laura is brilliant in her work. Each person in the Just Law office is an expert in their area. Just Law turned a very daunting experience into a calm, reassuring, and comprehensible process. My favorite thing about Just Law is that they sincerely care about the children and what is best for them. I am grateful I had them on my side, especially during mediation. They were very understanding, caring, and professional. I highly recommend Just Law to anyone needing family law, especially those with their children's best interest in mind. The costs were reasonable and worth every penny. Let them help you bring peace to your mind and peace into your life and family! Just Law is truly the best.

Nonie, Conor, and Melissa are exactly who you want to be on your team, especially during very stressful times. If you need a law firm, this is the firm you want, end of story. UPDATE: That initial review was written 5 months ago. Unfortunately, this is one those rare instances where a really positive review isn't enough. Nonie, Conor, and Melissa have ALWAYS achieved any expectation I had, and I can have pretty high exceptions, especially with extremely competent professionals. They take the time to explain things to you, willing to answer whatever question you have, no matter how silly or insignificant it is. At one point during my situation, they told me "not too worry about this", and for the first time in my ENTIRE LIFE, I realized not only was I not worrying, I wasn't even thinking about it, because they were on it. That has never happened before. For those "value conscious" individuals, numerous times I told this law firm I wasn't paying them enough, and I never thought I would tell a law firm that. You probably can find cheaper, don't know if you can find better, very confident you are not going to get a better value. The original review states "If you need a law firm, this is the firm you want, end of story." That may be the biggest understatement I ever made.

I had a great experience with Jessica and the other staff at Just Law. As a father they helped me in my child custody issues. I would definitely recommend Just Law for you Family lady needs... I have already sent others that need help in family law... Great Job Jess and the staff at Just Law!!!!

The only good part of a really bad divorce situation was working with Jessica. During the whole process I felt like she really cared about me and my kids' situation. Four and a half years later I called her because of a child custody issue. She remembered details about my case without looking anything up and walk me through the steps I need to take to resolve it. I recommend her to anybody!

Spencer and Liz, at Just Law (UT), are an amazingly dedicated team. Always prompt with replies and updates, professional and caring. They go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable, keeping you in the loop and to make sure all of your questions are answered. Living in another state, I wasn't sure how everything would work out. I am so fortunate to have them representing me. Great staff to work with and has my highest recommendation for family law practice. They are very knowledgeable and will help you with your case thoroughly.
