I think this firm is very dishonest. They are running a fraudulent business. They scammed me and abused me for a long time. Here are some examples. 1. Before I decided to hire this law firm to handle my case, they promised all the initial consultation was free. Later from my first bill, I knew they charged all the time for initial consultation. 2. They gave fake promises they couldn’t make in order to get the business. They said they can get the results I wanted. But they couldn’t. They promised they would finish all the important court documents early so that I have a chance to check them before they file the documents to court. But they almost always drafted the court documents on the last day and filed the documents on the last moment and they didn’t give me a chance to check the court documents at all. 3. They always “forgot” what they were supposed to do. When I talked with attorney Steve and asked him to do something for me, he always promised to do it for me. But after one or two months when I checked the results, it seems he completely forgot what he promised to do and what we talked before. So we have to start everything again. Such things happened again and again. Later I figured out that keeping forgetting is their typical strategy to build high bills against me. They forgot to do things for me frequently. But they never forgot to add more charges to my bills. I strongly requested them to increase their efficiency for my case. But they never change, and they don’t want to change at all. 4. This firm run a fraudulent business and they inflated the bills for me seriously. Even though my case had no progress at all in some months, they still added several rounds of meaningless charges. When I questioned those charges, they didn’t give me a reasonable reply. The front desk even told me those charges were required by law. My direct evidence of their fraudulent service is from a court hearing. During that hearing, attorney Steve asked the other side to pay $1374.50 legal fee because the Respondent refused to provide the necessary response/evidence for our discovery request on time. The other attorney confessed their fault. But he challenged the bill. He said all the law offices have different kinds of generic templates. For such and such and such simple legal documents, after an attorney pulls the templates out, he only needs 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or at most 20 minutes to finish them. Why did they charge over one or two hours for such simple documents? Those charges don't make sense at all! The commissioner checked the bill and turned around to attorney Steve and gave him a chance to explain. I noticed attorney Steve just shut up his mouth and refused to give any explanation. His silence just confessed to the court that this bill was seriously inflated. Finally, the commissioner reduced this bill to $687.50. In other words, the court confirmed this bill was inflated by 50%. In fact, this bill was built by copying some charges from my bills I already paid to them. This bill was a very modest one and I actually paid the bills much higher than this one for the same matter. I believe all the bills they built for me have the same problem. They inflated all the bills at least by 50%. 5. After I hired a new attorney for my case, they refused to transfer my trust balance to my new attorney. After my case was settled, they refused to return the trust balance to me. They kept the trust balance as the backup of the unpaid bills. I believe such a behavior is illegal, or at least inappropriate (abuse of the trust account). In summary, I believe this attorney is not trustful. He didn’t solve any of my problems. He is the worst attorney I have ever hired. All their mind was on how to build high bills for me. Their billing system is always in big mess. He only ruined my life hard by adding over $100K debts for me. The new potential customers should read this review and stay away from this law firm.
