I’m only writing this out of complete frustration. Obviously if I felt satisfied with their service my review would reflect that. I retained Lincoln Law for a chapter 7 & only chapter 7. I let them know I didn’t want to go any other route since bankruptcy reflects the exact same way on your credit. I paid 1,894$ in 4 payments. I’m extremely thankful they let me split it, had they not, I wouldn’t able to afford it, after all I am trying to get all debts wiped out. After all payments were made we started the process, keep in mind I had to upload all the documents, (it’s a lot) and fill out all the paper work with nobody’s help. All they did was send a few emails and make a few calls, all calls were no longer then 5 mins prior to the attempt of filing. The day comes to go over everything I’ve sent in and finally file my bankruptcy with the courts. We were on the phone for 1 hour and 34 minutes. (Yes I checked my phone log). At the end of the call it’s determined that my house hold income exceeds the threshold for a chapter 7. This was NEVER disclosed in any conversation/email/text even though I stated multiple times this was my doing and nothing would involve my husband since everything was in my name and finances are completely separate. We end the conversation with them trying to figure out a way to fit me into this mold of what a chapter 7 needs. A few calls later it’s ultimately decided that it won’t work and chapter 13th isn’t worth it with the payments they want to pay off the debts, we agree a refund will be processed. Fast forward to today 7/28/20 I’m sent a refund e-check for 988$. They took 906$ for for a retaining appt/post retain attorney consult/data entry signing appt/ phone, mail, and email consults/ doc collection/credit report/credit counseling. As far as I’m concerned nothing was even done on their end till 7/16 the day of my attempt to file with the courts. I’m extremely frustrated that 1. They felt what they did was worth 906$ and 2. They thought it was okay to take that amount knowing someone was in the position I am. They send me an e-check and I’ve gone to 3 places that refused to take it.. so here we are waiting again. Kevin was extremely helpful I won’t knock his attempts to help me, but the businesses way of doing business is extremely greety and not with customers needs in mind. Follow up to my review. The general manager reached out and we were able to come to a reasonable number for a refund, she was very kind and was even willing to stay later to figure it out for me as well as figure out a different way to get the refund sent.

All the phone calls made were very informative. All the attorneys and paralegals were extremely professional and answered all our questions in a way that we understood. It was extremely hard for my wife and I to come to the decision to file bankruptcy but due to the circumstances out of our control it’s something we had to do but with all that was standing the attorney firm that we chose couldn’t have been any better And made it extremely easier to get this accomplished.
