I went through a 2yr battle for my 3 kids custody, I Originally hired kent Burton located in Ogden he did good but at some point I felt I was not getting the help I needed, a family friend that is an attorney referred me to Daniel and I’m glad I retained him at the end me and my ex settled but I was confident to go into trial with a skill, intelligence and experienced attorney, Daniel is the best.

Helped me with the legal side of my divorce. The later he helped me fight for custody.

Dan was my overseeing counsel for almost two years on a active “child custody case ”. He walked with me step by step through a tricky custody battle. Before his original firm (Open Legal Service) went out of business I went in to consult with him back in March of 2018 about a issue with the current parentage case and I remember while talking about the issue he showed me something pertaining to my case and I glanced at the screen, but noticed next to my name and case number the new firm transfer said “maybe”. I should’ve listened to my first mind; from April-June communication with Dan was scarce, I received two responses from Dan one on March 9th stating “he was going to remain as counsel on my case” and the second was on May 11th and that email stated he was “Neck deep in a report, and would get back to me by the coming weekend.” Weekend’s came and went and finally after countless emails and messages on June 5th I called into Non profit Legal Services again to hopefully speak to Dan; the receptionist answered and she was going to transfer me over since Dan was in the office. Well instead of taking my call Dan gave his client of almost two years a message from the receptionist saying “I’m putting in the withdrawal papers as we speak, and a email will be sent over shortly confirming that” I was shocked. I never knew there was an issue with the client/attorney relationship that couldn’t be spoken about. Dan was a pretty good attorney until he switched up on me at the end. Hopefully this review aids you to the right decision when choosing a family law attorney.

Addressed and completed my case efficiently, effectively and almost effortlessly! 100% made me feel like a priority and was top notch!

Dan, is a lawyer who talks big in the beginning to hook you into hiring him to take your case. But it doesn't take long for my case to get neglected. Even after many calls and repeat pleading to Dan to take my wife to court because she had been withholding my kids from me, he makes promises to do something, but never delivers. In court, he is hopeless, that legal aid that my ex wife retained is a LOT better than this guy, who is a joke. Dan didn't fight for me at all. My entire case pretty much went down the drain, and I had to retain a REAL attorney to fix all the problems that was created due to non-action by Dan. I'm not the only one that was treated this way, there are quite a number of others that felt the same way if you research it online. So, what resulted from this guy's poor work, well, his original firm he created called Open Legal, went out of business on March 2018. I was told he moved to another law firm. I believe it's dangerous for your case to have him as your lawyer. Because it happened to me.

Highly recommending Daniel spencer he has helped me go over so many things, not having the knowledge that was taught to me has helped me under stand my case. The time and effort had been appreciated so much.
