I paid Cameron in September 2023 to handle my case. He has done nothing on it. No communication, nothing has been filed and I was told it would take approximately 30 days. Very discouraged.

Retained Cameron for his legal expertise and assistance. Very disappointed in the lack of communication, follow through and actually handling my legal needs. After almost 2 years of unnecessary back and forth to get my uncontested divorced finalized, I have had to hire another attorney to get this wrapped up. Disappointing and extremely frustrating.

I retained this firm in February of 2019 for an adoption case. I just had the jurisdiction changed, which was part of a long three year plan that cost thousands of dollars before the case ever reached his desk. I'd worked diligently with the last law firm in another state to achieve many goals and stepping stones to bring me to the final goal of adoption. When my previous law firm handed everything over and Jacobson & Richardson took the case everything went wrong. The first time I spoke to the attorney on the phone I was emphatic that the respondent be served within a certain time frame, and was not only assured that it was possible but led on to believe that the case would be easy. From the start it all seemed 'too good to be true.' They were more than two weeks late with the initial service that they promised. They missed the deadline they had stood by, with no apology or communication as to why it had taken that long. This was the pace for the entire case. I can understand that in legal matters things can change on a dime but I was never kept in the loop about things. When the respondent had retained an attorney my lawyer lied to my face telling me that he'd emailed me about it when no such communication had ever come from him. I had always made his communications a priority, doing my best to help him in anyway that I could. In all of my emails and communications I told him that if he needed anything to let me know so I could help expedite the process. I didn't want him to have to wait on anything from me. It was in my best interest to serve him, so he could better serve my case and my children. My phone calls, emails, etc went weeks without answer. When I was in real trouble and needed council my attorney was unreachable or on vacation, with no one else to handle the case load or intercede on his behalf. There was only one or two instances that he actually came through as promised on time. The vast majority of the time if I wanted updates or information I called the court house myself and obtained it and often found out that he was late on filing things or had forgotten to file paper work altogether. There was more than once I would wait weeks to hear back from him on something he said he'd filed only to find out from the court house the papers he'd mentioned had not been filed, or had been misfiled. I would often call him after visiting the courthouse to keep things moving on his end. I feel that aside from not being a bigger case and worth this firm's time, they wasted more of my time because of my legal fees being paid through a third party and it being beneficial to drag these proceedings out for them. In short, my case, my children and family were not ever a priority for this firm and it showed every time they ignored our communications. The true measure of a man is in how he lives in his own word. How can you put your family in the hands of someone who is supposed to uphold and honor the word of the law when he can't honor his own word?

My husband and I used Cameron Jacobson for several things in 2018. Cameron was always very nice when he spoke to us and always willing to answer our questions (and we had a lot). Everything we needed was completed in good time and communicated to us often. We are so glad we made the choice to go with Cameron Jacobson and have recommended him to several other people already.

We recently retained Jacobson & Richard's for assistance with drafting a will/trust and other assest protection documents as well as using them to help address an issue with a rental we have. We were in touch with their office and had the pleasure of speaking with Jill (their receptionist) who was very pleasant to speak with, detail oriented and responsive to get appointments set up and documents returned to us. We were assigned Cameron as our attorney.
