I found Matthew J. Kuehnl to be extremely responsive, competent, efficient, and cost effective when handling my pre-nuptial agreement. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs legal assistance.

If I could give Matt 10 stars, I would. We have a Washington case that was transferred to Utah and after a lot of searching for a good attorney, stumbled upon Matt, who previously practiced in WA before moving to Utah. This man is worth every penny and then some. He is professional while also being realistic and keeping humor involved. He has never given us expectations of something that didn't happen. He has fought for us and gotten results in record time that we weren't able to get with previous attorneys. Matt has gotten more results in 1.5 years than we previously managed to get in almost 10 years. He is logical, efficient and has a keen eye for detail. I work in the legal field in WA, but once it was transferred we had to find a Utah attorney so I'm extremely picky and have pretty high standards. Honestly, if you don't hire him it's your loss, and if your ex hires him you're probably screwed. He's that good.

I recently went through a divorce which was hard for me and my family. When I was looking for an attorney to represent me I couldn’t help but feel Matthew was genuinely sincere about helping me get through this process. Matthew was amazing!!!! I was worried that I wouldn’t have communication with my attorney to help me resolve and answer the questions that come up during a divorce. Matthew communicated with me on a daily basis if needed and sometimes I needed him after business hours. Matthew always responded to me in a timely manner and in many times when he wasn’t at work. M. Kuehnl was my first and only choice to represent me in my divorce. I scheduled the initial consultation and I was confident I selected the best representation available after my meeting with him. He was a good listener, bluntly honest, and didn't give me any false expectations. He was my best advocate, kept me informed, didn't let me make any stupid decisions in haste, and was tough when needed with the oposing lawyer.

I have a final parenting plan that was put in place years ago that was fairly boiler plate. Years later once my child became school aged, disagreements over districts quickly arose. During this time, I was a full time student and didn't have the financial resource to seek help. Unfortunately, the other parent moved my child without permission to the school of their choice and unknowingly, I should have filed for a restraining order. The courts ended up deciding to keep my child in the district which was a difficult conclusion. I recently returned to work and commuting my child north quickly became a problem when my job was located much further south. The other parent ended up filing papers against me to modify the parenting plan to take majority custody which would have been absolutely devastating and far from the best interest of my child. I searched and searched for the right attorney to really understand the history of the case and how an unfortunate event resulted in a school placement which quite honestly made no sense when both households pass daily through my district. While the school placement was in order for elementary school prior to seeking counsel, Matthew was able to help give me a voice and stand up for a fair and justified modification to the parenting plan which has resulted in a drastically improved schedule and no time lost (which was completely unjustified). Matthew was able to take a terrible situation and completely turn it around to actually improve upon what was in place before. I had consulted other attorneys prior to hiring Matthew and always walked away worried that they didn't completely understand the current and past circumstances in addition to the motivations of the other party. I would highly recommend Matthew to anyone seeking counsel for a family law case. I am extremely grateful we connected and will seek his representation if I should need to in the future.

I used Mr. Kuehnl while attempting to obtain custody of my daughter as well as defend myself against an unmerited protection order. His staff was very professional and capable. He adequately helped the judge see the truth in the protection order hearing. We did not end up having to litigate on the custody issue. He negotiated to help me obtain an end result that was best for my daughter.
