Joe represented us in a bogus shoplifting arrest. He was always able to be reached, was very accessible. He knew exactly how the process worked, recommended the best course of action to take, and was very well-respected by the prosecuting attorney. Joseph King was court appointed to represent my son on a drug related charge. Throughout the entire case, Mr. King kept both me and my son apprised of each step of the process. He was able to secure my son's trust in authority and gain insight into what brought my son to this stage in his life. There were several occasions when Mr. King took time out of his busy schedule to sit down with my son and really listen and get to know him personally. I felt as though he served more as a mentor than as a lawyer. My son spoke very highly of Mr. King every time they met to discuss the case. My son listened to his suggestions and put them into action. I truly believe that children, no matter the age, crave positive attention and react accordingly. I believe that Mr King had a major impact on my son's attitude toward his future. In the time spent throughout this case, I noticed a difference in my son's feeling of self worth. Let me point out again that he was not getting paid by me or my son for his representation, and yet he did more for my son than any lawyer has done in the past. I hired Mr. King to defend me on a misdemeanor case. He exceeded my expectation for what I hired him for. Upon my arrest and indictment I was facing federal charges on the opposite side of the country from where I was living and was told I had to obtain local counsel. I reached out to anyone I knew that could help give atty recommendations and I interviewed numerous attorneys over the phone. Some used fairytale expectations others tried to use scare tactics but Joe was genuine and honest from the start. I remember my wife asking me how my search was going and I knew once I spoke to him he was the attorney for me. Once I hired him he was very diligent to get me the help and proper representation I needed. He was always available, calls emails and texts were always responded to quickly. Even with him being at a 3hr time difference I didn't experience any lapse in attention. He was very fair with his pricing and I feel like I got more than the money's worth with him. There were several occasions where I just needed someone to talk to that could help me down from the ledge of uncertainty and he was very diligent to make sure I was ok and in the right frame of mind.
