Kelly and I first crossed paths when a patent troll crossed mine four years ago. Her sage advice guided us safely over that nasty ogre's bridge completely unscathed. Since then, I've come to entrust Kelly and her team with a broad array of IP and corporate-related matters including, but not limited to, new patents, trademarks, IP agreements, and corporate formation. Obviously, Dr. Hollowell is an expert in a multi-disciplinary field that takes years to master. But, what sets her apart is a voracious curiosity for all things scientific, her honest concern for my issues, and the irrepressible enthusiasm she exudes in the pursuit of her craft. (While this might sound like hyperbole, I assure you that I've understated these characteristics.) She runs her practice with the same concern for her clients as I have for my customers. She's more than an accomplished attorney. She's a consummate business person, a technology geek, my trusted advisor and just a pleasure to work with.

Our startup company was, and continues to be, faced with unique copyright issues. Kelly helped us sort through our challenges from the beginning and assembled the team to engage our issues head on. Kelly is the most knowledgeable attorney I've worked with in the tech industry. Her knowledge about the industry on the whole and ability to understand complicated elements of our business has been impressive. I've also been impressed with her ability to work seamlessly with the different members and personalities of our team. Kelly has an "all in" personality and that's what you look for when you're starting and growing a business.

Dr Hollowell is the patent attorney for our firm, and has done an outstanding job. She is always on top of whatever document needs to be filed, and never lets a deadline slip up on us. She extremely professional and knowledgeable about all the aspects of patent law, and she can explain it to where it is easily understood. She is someone you can talk to and know that she not only will be the best attorney, and she will always be a step ahead. We filed a patent and it was approves by the USPO, and then she laid out a plan for widening the impact of our patent and protecting our intellectual property. She works diligently today to strengthen our patents so we won't have unforeseen issues in the future with someone trying to go around them. We have another very technical patent that has just been filed where she enlisted other professionals to build the application from scratch so to speak and made it a viable presentation to the USPO that we feel confident it will be approved. She went the second mile for us on this one especially...getting detailed drawings done and verbiage etc. for a tight presentation of the material and the idea to the USPO. We would highly recommend Dr Hollowell to anyone needing the consummate professional for their patent needs.
