Ms. Medvin was hired to represent my son. The charges against him were multiple felonies. As a mother she made me feel hopeful without sugar coating anything, or having any illusions about the severity of the charges, but she also explained what she thought was going to happen. She explained the law and what our options were. She is very smart and very passionate about her job. She fights for justice! In this case we felt my son was definitely wronged and Marina fought tooth and nails for us. At the end everything was dismissed, I highly believe this had to do with her extensive knowledge of the judicial system and long time relations with Judges and prosecutors . I HIGHLY recommend her. We are very grateful for all she did for us. We truly couldn’t have picked a better Lawyer.

I would like to commend Attorney Marina Medvin on her professionalism and how she approached the case. I talked to several lawyers, and Marina was the only one who advised I focus on other things to help my case, as opposed to taking the online drivers improvement class or aggressive driving classes online.
To cut the story short, the reckless driving charge (89 mph in a 55 mph zone) was reduced to regular speeding and a $250 fine.
I am more than satisfied with the outcome of the case. Thanks again!!

I was in a tough situation and had Marina recommended to me through a friend. I was thoroughly blown away by her professionalism, her ability to articulate my story, and her success in negotiations. She was able to use facts from my story and police encounter to get a Driving on Suspended dropped, and then a Reckless Driving reduced to a speeding ticket. If I had been convicted of either of these, I would have received a violation of my probation resulting in a double conviction. I hired her one month before my court date and she was able to digest my story and police encounter as if she had been there herself. I provided her with evidence of my story and she successfully used it to our advantage when meeting with the prosecutor. Even during the consulting process before I hired her, she took the time and care to look up what I had been charged with as the officer charging me was not clear when he issued a Reckless for speeding 20 over.
I was on the debate team in college and it is rare to encounter an individual with such a gift for articulation - she has a way with words and knows how to navigate a negotiation.
She is 100 percent worth what she charges, and I would recommend her for anyone looking for the best defense attorney in FFX County.

Last summer (2018), in the middle of a 6,500 retirement road trip at age 67, this federal retiree made the stupidest mistake ever. I was detected carry a small amount of personal-use contraband into the Pentagon, charged only with a misdemeanor when a felony was also involved. Never ever arrested before, the next day I did a Google search for a defense attorney in Alexandria and Marina's profile was the only one I examined. In addition to appearing well groomed and attractive, cultured and cosmopolitan, with impressive awards, she responded personally and immediately to my inquiry. While the U.S. prosecutor's offer was generous on account of my history and age, Marina assisted in turning 12 months probation into six months - no fines, no costs, no fees. I never could have imagined finding better representation. I hope she will continue confidently clicking her stiletto heels across the courthouse marble floors and serve you as effectively as she served me! Thank you, Ms. Medvin!!

I am an attorney. A member of my family was recently charged with the commission of several criminal offenses in Alexandria, Virginia. All but one, a felony, were nol prossed. The case was tried before a judge, who rendered a not guilty verdict. That is the simple summary.
This was a first offense, but the charge was unique and serious. Our attorney was Marina Medvin, who devoted her considerable skill and experience to examining every detail of this unusual case, every strategy to create a reasonable doubt, and every possible argument to achieve a just result. And the result was just.
Ms. Medvin remained accessible at all times to a family almost shattered by the experience. She would listen politely to, and even welcomed, my suggestions (not impositions) as an experienced litigator, but developed her own theory and approach. She exhibited perseverance and confidence and beat the odds. She has earned my highest recommendation.

From the moment I first spoke with Marina I knew she meant business. I was charged with assualt & battery and public intoxication and was deeply worried about the impact it would have on my record and career. Marina was honest and laid put the best course of action for me which I followed before my court date. Throughout the whole process she was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I had and gave me valuable guidance along the way. She cares about her clients and does a wonderful job of instilling confidence. On the day of court, some unexpected events occured which we had already had a plan for thus she was quick on her feet and came to a resolution that ended up getting all charges against me dismisses. I would not think twice about hiring Marina again and recommend her without hesistation.

Retained Marina Medvin for misdemeanor intentional property destruction and public intoxication. She was very responsive to my questions- often answering my emails and returning my phone calls herself within minutes. Before the trial, she clearly explained the potential outcomes and provided specific proactive measures I could take to reduce the fines/sentences in case it came to that. Fortunately, it did not. On trial day, she was dynamic and was able to get the charges dismissed.
