We had an issue with damage to our property during a recent move and Steven was very good at laying out our rights and the different potential avenues we could pursue, including the potential costs and benefits of each. The service he provided was excellent.

I am not the kind of person to write a review but I felt it was necessary in regards to Steven and his amazing counsel. I am currently deployed, and when a fencing company tried to take advantage of me Steven stepped in and put an immediate stop to it. He was very courteous, efficient, helpful, and because of him everything worked out better than I could have ever hoped for. I recommend Steven to anyone with legal issues because he is simply the best. Thank you Steven, you have truly helped me out and I couldn’t be more grateful.

SPLENDID! The title of my review is enough to indicate the satisfation that we received from Steve's legal services. I thought of using 'wow', but that might mean either way. So, the clear positive title. But I digress. Background: we live in NJ and have an investment home in VA; had an issue simmering with the tenant that was threatening to esclate to a more serious and stressful level. We felt at our hearts that we were not wrong and had proof that we did everything we could to address the unfortunate situation that the tenant faced for a few weeks. Just as it was about to get worse, we decided to check with Steve and are so glad we reached out to him. From the first complemntary call - we never saw him or had to drive down - he put our minds at ease and laid out the options we had and their respective pros and cons. He also mentioned the fees for each option if we proceeded to engage him and asked us to first attempt something on our own before going thru him. We thanked him and followed one of his suggestions. Situation defused but got messy the following month when the tenant wanted a new credit based on a new hospital expense. She also hinted that she had also spoken to a lawyer, who felt that she had an extremely strong case. We promptly reached out to Steve and engaged him by paying a retainer. Steve was extremely thorough and prompt in responding to our emails/calls. He suggested the best course of action, which was both a compromise and a small credit to the tenant but involved her signing a declaration that she can no longer come to us for any future claims however damaging that might be. Tenant agreed and signed. And get this: Steve emailed us a check later for nearly 25% of our payment and informed us that the total time he spent on our calls/emails and preparing the letter was less than what he anticipated. You can now see why Steve will always be the first attorney that I will reach out to for ANY real estate legal issues. HIGHLY recommend him!"

I searched on-line for an attorney with knowledge and experience in landlord and tenant cases to inquire about the laws. I found Mr Krieger and emailed him a brief description of my situation. He responded within the hour and was requesting more information to better understand my concerns. It was after 5 pm when I finally sent him the requested additional information. However, I didn't have to wait until the following day to hear back from him. Mr Kreiger still reviewed everything I forwarded and responded back that same day within a couple of hours with a very clear, to the point explanation He even offered some professional suggestions on what to do or steps to take based on the information related to my case. I would definitely recommend him and save his contact info if I ever need to hire an attorney.

I suffered a massive flood at a townhouse I was renting in January 2014, which ultimately left my boyfriend and myself, as well as our two dogs, completely homeless. That’s in addition to the massive property losses incurred. Although the upstairs tenants were 100 percent responsible for what happened, it wasn’t long before the landlord, the upstairs owners and their shared insurance company felt like a united front against us. Within the first month, I knew we needed an attorney and started calling everyone I could find. Most didn’t even call me back, and those that did were dismissive and ridiculously overpriced. Steven Krieger returned my call within hours and I very nearly committed to him during our first conversation—within 24 hours I’d committed entirely. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It turned out that we had a long and bumpy road ahead of us. Within months our landlord illegally moved to evict us, despite the property being essentially condemned and loaded with asbestos, at the same time the insurance company stopped funding our hotel accommodations. Steven’s guidance throughout the process allowed us to keep our sanity, which is something that is vital when you have to find a new home in less than five days, in order to avoid homelessness. He handled all communications for us and was in communication exactly as much he needed to be. When there was a lull in our case’s progress, there was a lull in billable hours—absolutely no surprises. He was extremely flexible with payment arrangements and methods, with a very reasonable retainer, and was very open and up front about billing. It was an extremely bad time for us financially, but even so, his rate never seemed unreasonable. Throughout the entire ordeal I maintained meticulous financial records, tracking every loss and expense. Although I tabulated our losses at upwards of $25k, I never expected to get anywhere near that, mostly because that number was reached assuming everything we lost was brand new, which obviously wasn’t the case. I figured they’d probably offer us half that in the end, and that would be fine. When we got a settlement offer in November, it was for just over $26k. I know for certain that Steve was integral to the successful outcome we achieved. Emotions were running so high for us at the time that it was impossible to keep a level head and deal the many roadblocks as they came. I highly recommend him to anyone looking legal representation in any sort of landlord-tenant dispute—or anything else really.

Before I contacted Steven, I knew my case wasn't easy to win. My case was a modification of a Custody/Visitation Order. I always got all the advice from Steven & Sonali. They always tried to answer all my questions the same day. At the end I won the case and I receive all the legal support I needed. I'll never doubt about working with Steven again.
