The portions were small and the food was tasteless.

10/10 Hidden gem if I’ve ever seen one. We both loved the sushi! The fish was fresh, sushi rice exquisite and the sushi paper was the perfect consistency. Service was good. I’m mad I live an hour away otherwise would see me in there every week. Also this was the first time I’ve enjoyed eating edamame at a sushi joint!

Service was great! The ramen and sushi was okay. Some of the portions was too small for the price. The Thai tea was too sweet and artificial tasting. The best dish is their Japanese beef udon noodles.

It is all good the food is good

I’m Korean, lived in Korea half of my life and visited Japan quite a few times. Tonkotsu ramen is delicious. Pleasantly surprised. I’m sure these delicate taste notes can be hard to detect for some people who aren’t used to the cuisine. The flavor was really on point and it’s hard to find this anywhere in America. I’m sad we don’t live around here anymore but what a little gem for Berryville.

I’ve given this place a try on three different occasions and all were unsatisfactory. The food lacked flavor, the presentation was awful, and our order was wrong all three times. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I really wanted to enjoy my experience here but that was not the case. I believe for over $80 for a family of three people, I expected more quality than what we received. In my opinion this restaurant was very disappointing, not to mention the service we received was extremely poor customer service, and that’s to say the least when we actually did pick up orders, so that’s saying a lot. Hopefully, if you decide to give this place a try I hope that your food and your service received is much better than ours was. Needless to say, after giving this place multiple tries it’s fair to say that this location isn’t on our recommendation list of places to visit. We heard such good things from our local community but that wasn’t the case with our experience. We were extremely disappointed with the food, the lack of effort in the presentation of our food, and most importantly the bad customer service we received was a dealbreaker for our family. Good luck, if you decide to give this place a try hopefully your experience will be different and your food will be better tasting than ours was. - Disappointed Customer

Utilizing its small space to its best, Zen Ramen has been a restaurant I've found myself returning to several times throughout 2024 since first visiting nearly one year ago. Despite "ramen" being listed first in the business name, I would consider the restaurant's focus more on sushi. There is a lot of variety of rolls and nigiri with numerous kinds of fish and seafood present, and it's well-made and good-tasting. The sushi bar seats eight, and the wait from time of order to food being delivered is speedy. As far as ramen, it is fine but not prepared as authentic as it should be, though it's ultimately acceptable as a hot dish full of umami flavor. Apart from the sushi counter, four booths are also available, and it's not uncommon for the business to be full or near-full. Yet, even during those times, service is prompt and friendly.

The ramen was super delicious I had the curry ramen and per my request, they made it extra spicy. The sushi was also very fresh and tasty. We got green tea and we wished we could have bought dry tea to take home.
