I was, of course, impressed by Marshall's mastery of bankruptcy law, but also the friendly, homey, and comforting atmosphere of the practice, Marshall's willingness to listen, and all the support from Michelle. However much time I spent filling out forms, especially the household inventory, it still seemed like an easy and relatively painless process. My experience with this law firm started out great. They were informative and attentive to my situation. The minute I decided not to file bankruptcy, everything changed. They were not answering my calls or calling me back. They were not answering my emails as well. I had to call them from a number that they could not trace back to me in order for them to pick up. When they did, they were not helpful in explaining butwhy I could not get a refund. Michelle came up with something about the lawyers were preparing a case , so I had to pay for that. I did not ask anyone to prepare a case for me. After reviewing some information, I was not sure if I wanted to file so I told them to standby. If I am not due a refund, then fine. Why am I being told ito read material that does not explain anything about a refund. I did not understand why they would take advantage of a person who is in my situation. That speaks volumes to one's character. If a person is considering filing bankrupcy , chances are they are not in a good space at the time. I feel this company took advantage of my situation. I am still working on receiving a refund because I believe that one is in order. Maybe a judge will have to decide.
