Out for himself incompetent unprofessional did not help over all horrible not communicative not classy

Hired to represent my brother. Took the money and can’t get a call back. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a lawyer.

I have hired Mr. Barlow twice now, and he has done a great job of communicating with me and got me some of the best deals possible with the prosecutor that he could have gotten. He is always very nice when I go in to talk with him and has a calm demeanor. If I ever hear of anyone with legal problems, I give them his card. I've hired 5 other lawyers in my life and none have been nearly as professional as Mr. Barlow.

Hired Mr. Barlow to do a criminal case in Chesapeake, he came and saw me two times before only to make sure I knew he wasn't going to do anything until he was paid. Which is understandable, I wouldn't expect him to do it for free but as soon as he got my money never heard back from him to discuss my case until minutes before we went into court. He told me what we had discussed earlier and what I had paid him to do he was no longer going to do that and he advised me to do something else. I took his advice and have to go back to court in another month. Now I call his office to ask him about the next court only for him to tell me I now owe him more money to go back to court. Worst experience I've ever had with an attorney and I've had more than enough to know the difference between a good attorney and a bad one. He's supposed to be good in Chesapeake but was the furthest thing from my experience.

I hired Barlow several years ago. Unfortunately it was at a time when my case was looking so glim! I was so afraid. I wouldn't step on grass or smell fresh air for a while!! Barlow was phenomenal!! I was out enjoying fresh air and beginning to move forward in my life!! He is a man of his word!! He is not a BSer!! He shoots is straight. Says what he means and does what he says!! As far as I am concerned there is no one better for the job!! Especially when your freedom is on the line. I would and will ALWAYS use and recommend Barlow, He is The Bomb!!

I hired Mr Barlow for a criminal case for my husband and have been greatly appreciative and happy with his knowledge and expert opinions. He's helped me going through the process with my husband and explained ups and downs of what to expect. I would recommend him or anyone in his practice for any and all up coming interactions with the law or court.

I highly recommend Mr. Barlow to anyone looking for a defense attorney in the Chesapeake area. He went above & beyond on my fiance's case. He also kept me updated which was greatly appreciated.

Mr. Barlow handled my case well. He was straight forward and said it like it really was. He came to the jail and talked to me and explained what was happening. He talked to the prosecutor and got her to give me a good deal.

Snatches my check from from Secretary, cashed within a day. And 6 months later says " I can get u a court as soon as u basically do all the legwork".Worst experience of my entire life! If u want any chance of having a fair trial I recommend not trusting this so called lawyer. I'm going to the bar hoping to get my hard earned money back, I'd be better Off defending myself.
