Unethical practices and hidden costs
“Went in for a class 1 misdemeanor. As a veteran, single mother, full time graduate student, and full time worker who has ABSOLUTELY no criminal record I paid for the lawyer and discussed the procedure for the expungement process. He was slick in not including that price on our emails. Then proceeded to have me pay the 'victim' a substantial additional amount to have the case dismissed. Then tried to charge a much greater additional amount for the expungement then we discussed on the phone.”
