Sheryl has been by far the best experience I have had, her professionalism was outstanding.

Sheryl Shane is the second lawyer I have used since living in the Northern Virginia area. When we met for the first time she asked me why I didn't use the first lawyer I had from a previous case and the answer was quite simple. The first gave me no hope. Basically sat me down and said this is what you will get and there isn't any hope for any better...not very comforting. Sheryl on the other hand sat me down and gave me multiple outcomes and scenarios and made me feel like there was hope. I got the feeling that the actually WANTED to help me, which she did. I was surprised, but ecstatic about the outcome of our case and recommend her to ANYONE.

I have been a licensed attorney for approximately 31 years. I few months ago I consulted with Attorney Shane concerning a client who was a criminal defendant and who I suspected was incompetent to stand trial. Attorney Shane was very knowledgeable about all of the procedures I would need to follow to protect the interest of this client. My son’s friend got arrested 2 years ago for being drunk in public and in possession of marijuana. Unfortunately, this was his third such non-violent offense. He was represented by a public defender and was sentenced to 9 years in prison. When I learned of this sentence, I hired Sheryl Shane. In a friendly, professional manner, she obtained a history of my background and my husband’s background and our familiarity with this friend. She then met with the defendant and obtained his detailed history. She had me prepare documentations which included letter attesting to his having a place to live and a job if he was released from jail. She concluded that there was a chance we might be able to win his release on appeal. Within weeks, we were notified that my son’s kind, sensitive and intelligent friend would be released on probation from jail in a few weeks. In my opinion, Sheryl Shane is a miracle worker. She is focused and clear thinking -- and gets results. I would strongly recommend Sheryl Shane as a defense attorney. She is the best!

I highly recommend Sheryl Shane. I originally was charged with a misdemeanor for reckless driving and also for driving without license, (I also had a ticket for not having state plates). She got everything dismissed for me. The three main factors I think helped in this situation are: - she is passionate about her work. - she gave me really good advice on what things would improve my chances. - she has a lot of experience. Before her I met a different lawyer and I can say the difference was as clear as night and day. She always took my calls, she asked me to meet before the hearing and we talked for an hour (even before I hired her!). In general a really good experience.

Highly Recommended. I was facing 4 Felony charges And ALL of them are now dropped. She should charge more!!! Other lawyers don’t work as efficient as she does. She fought for me! Very straight forward and let’s you know all of your options and always does what’s best for you. Her resources are incredible. This is the only Virginia lawyer I will ever use.
