Mr. Simms is by far the best attorney I have ever had to represent me. I was charged with a petit larceny charge, that could have cost me my entire life. It was a “wrong place, wrong time” kind of circumstance. He drove 4 hours to represent me, and that alone, shows what kind of attorney he is. He could have told me to get someone closer, but instead he made the trip, and I am beyond thankful that he did. He got me a dismissal of my charges! When he spoke, my county court judge knew he wasn’t playing, and that he was a very smart attorney. He was always available, and always gave it to me straight. He even was kind enough to give me advice on how to expunge my record. I am beyond grateful to him for representing me. I hired Jonathan Simms to defend me following a DUI arrest. I could have not asked for a more reassuring and professional lawyer! While I was not able to get the main charge dismissed, Mr. Simms walked me through all my options and advised me at each step of the way and I was able to get a plea deal with reduced penalties, without effecting my job or security clearance. At age 60 I have never needed or hired an attorney. I was charged with 6 felonies which carried a punishment of 17 years to life imprisonment. After hiring an attorney of who I never met (only what I would describe as an apprentice of whom he hired) and attempting to get more money from my wife after being jailed we fired him. We then hired a second who wanted a quick plea deal with jail time. Then Jonathan contacted me as he had been following the case. He put every once of his energy into my case. He kept me apprised of everything he was doing, answered or contacted me immediately when I reached out to him and laid out my choices. The bottom line is Jonathan was able to have my 6 felonies reduced to a misdemeanor with 1 year probation and no jail time. We had spoke to Jonathan initially and went with someone else, DON’T make the same mistake, hire Jonathan 1st. We believe Mr. Simms would have won if it would have gone to trial but I was not willing to put my life in the hands of a number of jurors. Jonathan is an ethical, hard working, intelligent attorney and honorable man. He is worth every penny paid and was actually less expensive than each of the 1st 2 we hired. I just can’t say enough about Jonathan Simms.
