My experience at Livesay and Myers was outstanding. I had a relatively complex case with lots of negative emotions intertwined. Both Ms. Afsous and Ms. Kaur-Sharma made navigating each circumstance much easier. Also, both Ms. Afsous and Ms. Kaur-Sharma were very attentive and responsive to all of my concerned. I highly recommend Livesay and Myers as an outstanding firm and specifically Ms. Afsous and Ms. Kaur-Sharma.

After reviewing many other family law practices in northern Virginia, I hired Livesay & Myers to represent my interests in a Property Settlement Agreement and, ultimately, handle my divorce case. After an initial free consultation with Attorney Doyle to explain my situation and review the original PSA that I my ex-wife served me, I felt confident that he, his paralegal, Ms. Membreno and the L&M team would fight a good fight to straighten out my now ex-wife's misleading claims and unfair requests for debts I owed to her. I only wish that I could have had more time, energy and money to take my case to court and have the matter settled there because Mr. Doyle was very confident that, if taken to court, the court would favor my counter claims over my ex-wife's claims. Nevertheless, throughout the ordeal, Mr. Doyle and Ms. Membreno were responsive, kept me informed on the status of settling the agreement and advised and consulted me on different strategies that could be taken to resolve the matter in a way that seemed fair to me and not just my ex-wife. I would have rated L&M higher; however, as we arrived closer to resolving the PSA, it was I who had to point out to them a major piece of my and my ex-wife's financial puzzle. That information ended up saving me thousands of dollars in debt owed to her.

Mr. Andrew Tank has helped me twice now with custody disputes. He is very professional, he listened to what I wanted to accomplish and gave me a very accurate idea of what to expect from start to finish of the case, as well as what I wanted that was realistic and unrealistic. I give him credit for how well my ex and I are able to coparent now, because from day one of my initial interaction with Mr. Tank, he made it very clear what I could and couldn't expect in terms of realistic communication with my ex and realistic expectations of what would make a difference to a judge. Thanks to Mr. Tank I was able to go in to negotiations with my ex with realistic expectations and we were able to work things out together. Mr. Tank and his support staff were on top of filing all paperwork and keeping me informed of the status of my case. The courthouse lost some of our paperwork, and thanks to Mr. Tank and his firm staying on top of things, they were able to resubmit the lost paperwork including copies of the previously submitted paperwork stamped by the courts, and our case was back on track quickly. I was a bit worried that I would be nickled and dimed on invoicing and wouldn't get much back from my retainer even though we didn't need a long drawn out court hearing - I ended up very happily surprised to get back more than I anticipated! I hope I am never again in need of a family law attorney, but if I am, I will use Mr. Tank again in a heartbeat! I will forever be thankful for his help and the help of his support staff!
