I found myself in a stick situation recently. A situation where I was being sued for a large sum of money I clearly didn't have. I didn't have many options, but I knew step #1 was finding a great lawyer and I couldn't ask for better representation during my case than Mr. Lau. After reviewing his background through online reviews and actually talking to him and hearing about his education and level of expertise during my consultation, I knew he was the man for the job (Copyright Infringement Case). He had excellent communication skills and was very responsive to my inquiries. He listened to my concerns, answered all questions I had in a timely manner, and explained legal matters clearly enough that anyone without a law background would feel like Perry mason. I don't plan on being in any sticky situations again, but who knows what life may throw at me. I do know that I won't hesitate to hire Michael Lau again if/when that day comes.

Michael Lau is not only an excellent lawyer, who won our case for us, but also an amazing person. We felt how much Michael cared, not only about the case, but also about his clients. I had a problem with VEC and down to my last appeal. I consulted with Michael Lau. He told me upfront he may not be able to change the VEC decision, but he'll do some research and see what he finds. I decided to hire him. He did some research, found more evidence in my favor and sent the final appeal in. 30 days later, I get a letter from VEC telling me the original decision has been reversed and I'm finally done with this problem. Michael is a great lawyer. To find evidence in my favor, on such short notice. This man really cares about his clients.
