He is an amazing Lawyer with amazing staff as well. Words are not enough to describe how Tom in handling our case for a wrongful death of our son. He is the best lawyer out there! He kept us in the loop from the start to finish. Explains all the things we needed to know and so easy to communicate with. He responds with all our inquiry right away. He lightened our load in some way so to speak by not stressing us out throughout the process but was working hard for our case to be done in a way we will not be stressed, but him working dedicatedly. Only few like him that shows genuine concern and dedication not just to our case but to us and our family. Very professional and with excellent work ethics. Very knowledgeable and smart. My two young daughters like him a lot that they asked us to give him something to remember them all the time , a build the bear that they dressed up just like him. Tom valued that gift from our daughters.

We were not sure if we had a case or not. Mr. Smith researched and found out that we didn't. He was polite and courteous. He is also very personable. He was very sincere when telling us.

I met and retained Mr. Smith in early 2009 to represent me in a medical malpractice claim. That claim was subsequently settled through mediation in early 2011. It is difficult to put into words how appreciative I was having Mr. Smith as my attorney. He was extremely knowledgeable (not only regarding legal issues, but also in understanding the multiple medical issues I was having), highly professional at all times, was able to explain every step of the process to me so I (as a non-attorney) understood what was being done from start to finish, and was just an all-around compassionate and highly competent professional.

Tom worked on my case with me and truly cared. He followed up on my case with after things had fallen through with another lawyer. This really showed his commitment even before we got started. He worked hard and long over several years for me and did an awesome job fighting for us. Throughout the entire process it was very clear that Tom genuinely cared about doing what was right and providing justice for my case. Regardless of the outcome, he was a very good lawyer who gave me my day in court and fought hard until the end for what was right. I would recommend Tom to anyone and genuinely appreciate him as both a lawyer and a person. s

Tom Smith handled my court case against a radiologist who failed to see the change in my 2006 CAT scan which showed cancer had grown in my left lung. This was not found until 2008 when a new CAT scan showed that the cancer had spread and was now in the lymph glands and stage 3. He won that case for me and I was awarded the maximum amount allowed in the state of Virginia. He is a wonderful, caring attorney, who is very easy to work with and top dog in his field.

After consulting with five attorneys, I decided to hire Tom Smith. He was always professional, on time for meetings, responded promptly with my questions/concerns. I prefer email correspondence so that is basically how we communicated. Of course, his staff was always available. Tom was a great communicator and kept me informed as the case progressed. He explained my options and spent whatever time I wanted/needed. I never felt rushed. I believe he is fair and will do his best for his client. I referred a friend to him whose case he is handling.
