A talented, empathetic, no-nonsense lawyer, Ofelia Calderon gets results! During the past five years, she skillfully shepherded our friend’s case through immigration hearings, deportation notices, detention, and written appeals. She won release from detention in a Georgia prison where our friend was facing imminent deportation; she persuaded the immigration courts to grant a new hearing; and at the hearing she convinced the judge to discard the removal order and grant an extraordinary hardship visa. Our friend received his visa, his work permit, and just recently notice of his green card. It is a wonderful ending to a long and challenging process. We are so grateful for Ofelia Calderon’s high professionalism, excellent communication skills, and steady support.

For years I had tried to become a resident and nothing. Ofelia and her assistant, Maira, took my very challenging case and my green card came in the mail about 3 weeks ago. They always made me feel as if I was their only client. Ofelia is very honest, realistic and clear about the expectations one should have about their case. She always told me when each step of my case was a risky one. She submitted enough evidence and the only RFE I got was for my husband and it was by a mistake by immigration. I am extremely pleased with their services!

I hired Ofelia for my AOS case and I had an arrest record not long ago before the interview (criminal charge, no conviction). USCIS send my interview letter to the wrong address and when I finally got the letter, I had only two days to prepare. I really appreciate Ofelia's flexibility and the fact that she offered excellent advice on how to explain my arrest record to the interviewing officer. She also shared valuable advice on other sensitive topics of the interview. I went to the interview the next day and found her consultation extremely helpful. My case was approved two days after the interview and now I can finally move on with my life without a huge psychological burden. Regarding a previous review posted here, I and my husband are not Hispanic and she treated us just the same, offering her most professional suggestions.I would recommend Ofelia to friends and family in need without any hesitation.

I am very surprised to read a negative review about my lawyer that has been working with my family for a year now. To my knowledge people that I have recommended to her of different races like Africans from Kenya, people from Ethiopia and myself that is from the Caribbean Dominican Republic. All who I have recommended her to have given me great reports About her work ethics her believe in keeping family together. To my understanding I understand that all cases are different in some cases are the same in my case I've had the experience with my lawyer that she keeps me up-to-date with what's going on, any questions I may have she either emails me back with The answer or she will have one of her staff call me I do not want that people think that I am writing this review for personal reasons I am simply voicing my opinion.

The immigration process can be extremely nerve-racking. Despite that the process was much better because Ofelia was our lawyer. She is supremely competent and has a wonderful ability to communicate complex information easily. Thanks to Ofelia working with us for the last two years, my husband was able to get his permanent residency without any hiccups. I read the reviews and they are only for Spanish clients. She does not fight vigoursly for clients that are black. She acts like she is doing this to help her race only. She promises a good outcome, once she gets you to pay her she acts like there is no chance in hell that anything can be done for you to stay in the united states. She sides with ICE, she almost seems like she is working for them and not you. I have paid her thousands and my husband is still getting deported and she will not return any of my phone calls. She basically abandonded his case. She is not for blacks at all, if you are from a carribean country DO NOT USE HER. She has an ideal of what thoes people are like and she feels that only Spanish people deserve a chance here in the US. She cares nothing about you the client or your familys hardship.
