In May of 2017 while on our way back home to NY after vacation we were rear-ended on I-95 in VA and I received a serious whiplash injury. In May of 2020, a whole 3 years after the accident, the law firm who had my case requested permission to withdraw stating it wasn't going to be worth their while to go forward and informed me I would have a limited amount of time to obtain new counsel after the withdrawal was complete. It was the principle of it that bothered me the most considering how much pain and suffering I'd endured for it to just end up no accountability whatsoever and how hard I had to work to get feeling better again. So, that was the motivating factor for me to google "bodily injury attorneys in VA" and begin making cold calls to see if I could find new counsel. After five or six rejections for various reasons I received a call back from Brian Glass of Ben Glass Law. Brian was very nice to talk with and as he discussed my case he was trying to understand what might have actually happened which caused my counsel to withdraw without ever even presenting me with any offer to settle. He said I sounded like a nice lady and he told me he'd like to see if he could help and would be willing to look over my case if I sent it to him. Of course, I got right on it and to my surprise and delight he took my case! I was sooo thankful! Pretty quickly, it seemed like more action was happening on my case than I'd experienced with the other law firm. Brian was very respectful to me during conversations we had and I truly appreciated it as I know my faults... I'm way too talkative and don't always stay focused or get to the point. In other words, I ramble for whatever reason... being nervous maybe? It was also during this time when Tammy Hineline reached out to introduce herself to me as one of the paralegals who would be working with me for Brian. Little did I know then that Tammy would become so deeply appreciated by me. She's one very hardworking special lady who was always on top of it all or made sure she got to it in short order! That Fall I received a letter from Brian introducing Lisa Derco as a new partner to the firm and telling me she'd be taking over my case. I didn't quite know what to expect with that news, but it turned out there wasn't any reason for concern. It was obvious Lisa had stepped right into her new position and was quickly becoming acclimated since it wasn't any time at all when more and more was happening on my case. Brian definitely made a great choice when bringing Lisa into the firm as a partner. Neither Lisa or Tammy ever failed to cover all the bases and are a couple of the sweetest nicest ladies I know. They both remained in regular communication with me despite all my talkativeness... even in my emails too! It was their knowledge which made it all go so smoothly and seem so easy. In April 2022, Lisa secured a fair settlement on my behalf without me having to go to court which I especially appreciated because of other medical issues I'm dealing with presently that would make travel to VA very difficult. From my experience, the differences in both law firms was like day and night. Ben Glass Law wins hands down! They are a very well-balanced professional and FRIENDLY firm! I believe an angel in Heaven was sure looking out for me the day Brian returned my call!

Just had a webinar with Ben about long term disability. For anyone new to this field or wanting a refresher course this is where to go. Ben was very generous with his time and knowledge when he didn't have to be and he gives more in an hour or so that what might take a couple of days at an in person seminar. Not only took left me pages of new material, he gave direction to a another dozen avenues. As usual, he delivers.

I met Ben Glass when he was 12 years old and through the years I have watched him become one of the finest, most skillful attorneys in the area. So, there was no question who I would turn to when my daughter was seriously injured in a car accident involving a drunk driver in September 2018. Ben began giving us expert advice from the day after the accident when I made that all important phone call from my daughter’s hospital room. Ben came to our home to meet with our daughter after she was home from the hospital. From that day forward we knew we were in good hands. Brian Glass, Ben’s oldest son was assigned to her case. He and his team stayed with us until the case was recently settled on April 12 th , 2022 following a two-day trial in Fairfax County. The pandemic and many other obstacles did not stand in the way of Brian doing his job. Brian met with us multiple times to explain the entire process. Did the defendant make a bad choice? Yes! Will he pay for it for a very long time? Yes! Will our daughter ever be completely whole again? No one knows that for sure. To the Partners, I have not used your firm's services, but I called in just now trying to reach a former associate of yours, James Abrenio. I did have the pleasure of speaking with Suzie Callahan, and my brief interaction warranted this review. Her entire demeanor makes your potential clients "take a deep breath", which is typically the first order of business anyone needs to do when faced with a stressful situation. Wind chimes in a warm breeze. If the other members of your firm have even half of the demeanor/confidence/patience Suzie made me feel in two minutes on the phone, then I would highly recommend!
