I worked with John Byrnes and also Laura O'Brien who assisted through my child custody and divorce cases. Both attorneys are highly professional, educated and experienced in family law. John is straightforward, reasonable, ethical, and practices sound judgment. He worked productively to keep my best interests in mind and resolve my cases, and provided sensible advice throughout the process. He was a voice of reason at times that I greatly appreciated. Family Law, Child Support Modification. Attorney: Ann Luu I was recently presented with a complicated Child support modification problem that potentially involved three states due to parent moves from the original state order. I requested a consult from Kelly Byrnes & Danker. I was referred to Ann Luu. I went into the call thinking I understood what needs to happen if my ex-spouse requests a child support modification. It was an enormous learning curve understanding the law and requirements. She explained the laws of Virginia and directed me which questions I need to ask the other state attorneys. After confirming with legal consults from all three states, I feel I have a better understanding what the process is and how to handle any future litigation. It wouldn't have happened without the original legal consult from Ann. Ultimately, I hope we can find a solution between ourselves - the parents. If we cannot, I have solid guidance on the steps necessary to modify a child support order when parents have moved from the original state. If the time comes to retain Ann, I will not hesitate to call her. Ann has a firm understanding of Family law and complicated situations that arise in an increasing mobile society. Thanks Ann. I have had to use Ann Luu off and on for three years. She came highly recommended from a close friend.
