**Review of Will Stanton, Lawyer at Will Stanton, Traffic & Criminal Defense - Poor Service and Unreasonable Fees** I regret having to write this review, but after our experience with Will Stanton atWill Stanton, Traffic & Criminal Defense, I feel compelled to warn others about the poor quality of service we received. From the moment we hired him, it became clear that his interest was more in charging us than actually doing his job. If you are considering hiring a lawyer in Henrico County, I strongly advise you to stay away from Will Stanton. Here's why: After our first hearing, it was as if Will Stanton disappeared. We were left in the dark for weeks at a time, with no guidance or updates. He barely returned our calls, often leaving us to chase him down just to get basic information about our case. Communication is critical in legal matters, and he failed miserably in this area. Even when we did manage to reach him, his responses were vague and unhelpful, never addressing our concerns directly. It was extremely frustrating to have to constantly fight for his attention when we were supposed to be his clients. To make matters worse, when we received the itemized bill from Will Stanton, it was filled with outrageous charges. He billed us for interactions that had nothing to do with our case, including conversations with his assistant that were irrelevant to our situation. How can someone justify charging for services they never rendered? The most frustrating part was seeing charges for time he supposedly spent working on our case, when in reality, we could barely get him on the phone, let alone in person. It’s clear that he’s more interested in padding his bill than actually helping his clients. Another major issue was how he strung us along from Leesburg to Henrico, with no real progress being made. He constantly gave us the runaround, delaying important decisions and actions that should have been handled in a timely manner. We needed him to be proactive and take control of the situation, but instead, he made things more complicated and left us feeling lost. In our time of need, when we were counting on Will Stanton to represent us, he was nowhere to be found. His lack of involvement after the first hearing was not only unprofessional but also detrimental to our case. We eventually had to hire a new lawyer just to get things moving forward. When we informed Stanton of this, he acted as if he had never even met us before—completely dismissive of the fact that he had been representing us (poorly) for months. Trying to reach Will Stanton through his assistant was just as frustrating. The assistant was unresponsive and unhelpful, providing no useful information or assistance in getting us in touch with Stanton. It seemed like the whole office was designed to keep clients at arm’s length, with no accountability or responsibility for their actions. If you live in Henrico County or anywhere near, **do not hire Will Stanton**. He is the epitome of a lawyer who will overcharge you for doing absolutely nothing. The lack of communication, poor work ethic, and excessive fees made this experience not only frustrating but also financially draining. Hiring him was one of the biggest mistakes we made, and I hope others will take this review as a warning. There are plenty of competent lawyers out there who will work hard for their clients and charge fairly. Unfortunately, Will Stanton is not one of them.
