I highly recommend Big Valley Law in Harrisonburg for your legal needs. They are comprised of a highly dedicated professional staff who are very personable. They represented my son in a minor criminal matter few years ago when he was 18 and a student at JMU and guided us through the case to a satisfactory conclusion. They subsequently helped us with an expungment recently when he turned 21. They are very responsive and guided us through the entire process with timely, concise, and easily understandable legal guidance. They intially were recommended by another friend of mine who had used them for a similar case. I would not hesitate to use them for any type of legal needs I might have in the future in the Harrisonburg, VA area.

Big Valley Law helped get my husband's reckless speeding ticket reduced to a minor infraction. Which if you did not know in VA makes it go from a criminal charge to a minor traffic violation so a very big deal. They were beyond easy to work with, and went out of their way to make sure any questions we had were answered quickly. We moved out of VA a month after getting the reckless ticket so they were also able to go to court for him, and help us find a driving course to take in our new state. I would highly recommend Big Valley Law especially Alejandra and Aaron!

Where to start.... iv been thru my share of family law attorneys and i can honestly say i wish i would have found big valley law 2 years ago.... this is going to be a very honest review but 5 stars is definitely what the services provided deserve.... when i had my initial meeting i met with 2 different people one of the partners and a female lawyer which is who i wanted to retain as i hear having a female lawyer helps as a guy in court... the meeting was great i explained the case and previous hirror stories from other legal groups i had worked with... one of my biggest concerns were a bait and switch (meet with one lawyer love them then be switched to another lawyer once you pay your retainer) they wer very attentive in this meeting took notes and i feel the asked the right questions and answered all my questions better than expected... i did chose to retain them... i will say their retainer is a little more expensive than most but they did work with me which i can not appreciate enough... and at the end of the day you get what you pay for and i would glady pay this higher retainer again.... after retained of course we had a separate meeting set at this point is where i felt everything was about to go down hill. The lawyer i had thought i was retaining was pregnant so i was informed someone new was coming over to represent me. Immediately i believed this was a bait and switch and i was furious and scared beyond belief. My paralegal yuliya whom i cannot praise enough quilcky reassured me that this was not the case. And that the partner planned on being as involved as possible with this case but that because of her maternity leave was the only reason the other lawyer could not represent me.... yuliya stayed in contact with me from beginning of my case to even afterwards her customer service and the fact that she cares is second to none that i have dealt with thus far... sam is the new lawyer that i was assigned to... again very scared with meeting with someone new after retainer was already paid... however sam is fantastic and i do believe he honestly gave it his all in my caese . Sam was also honest with me the entire time. He didnt give me hopes and dreams but kept it transparently honest with how we believed things would go... what we wanted to happen and what we could do if things dos not go our way..... thankfully in court i got a few things that i wanted and a few things wer denied by the judge... but thats not in the control of the lawyers.... even after the case sam took his time to relax me and inform.me of potential future problems and how to prepare for them..... i wish that i could rate yuliya and sam more than 5stars. Custody court is never anywhere and parents want to end up. It is scary it is expensive and it is extremely uncomfortable...working with sam yuliya and big valley law made this as painless least stressful and honestly in the end result cheaper than anyone else i have worked with in the past. I fewl at this firm they do try care about clients that they represent atleast sam and yuliya did. I cannot not thank them enough for helping me maintain a full share in my daughters life.... if you are a parent looking for someone to help you navigate theses scary times thru family court im not saying that big valley will be the perfect fit for you but they wer for me. And you owe it to yourself to atleast meet with them.

When our family needed to hire an attorney it was such a difficult decision to make when it came to what attorney to hire. I feel we could not have made a better decision when we decided to hire Big Valley Law. Working with Sam Pender and Yuliya was a blessing. Sam was so personable and available whenever we needed him. His knowledge was evident and we felt confident with a positive outcome with him in charge. If I ever need an attorney in the future I will definitely call Big Valley Law!
