In1993 I got rape charge from my wife. It sounds bad BUT we divorced in 2017. Well here it goes But I went straight back to her!!! So I had no bond because he didn’t make bond hearing for me. He said just stay down there and I’ll try to get you time served. I was down the jail about 85 or so days. He never came to see down the jail!? When I went to court he said I got a plea for you 10yrs with 9yrs suspended. You can go home you got a few days left.(JUDGE WILKERSON) He never tell anything what this can do to you!! By the way appointed lawyer at the time I was young & dump!! After 31yrs still fighting to free my self!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM BBBBBAAAAAADDDDD NEWS!!!!

The first day I met with him he didn’t even greet me. And I said hello TWICE ! I met with him again and he made suggestions to my case , when I went to custody court he denied it ! Made me look like a liar ! He was a POA on our case but when I spoke he kept making objections to my statements. Like he was representing the other party instead of the child. This man said to the courts he thought it was interesting that I accused the other party of abuse but no arrest was ever made a total jerk ! Do not allow him into the court room with you for any reason . He is a horrible person.

Easy to find, clean office. Very sweet, helpful paralegal/office manager to greet you when you walk in and best lawyer i ever hired. Highly recommended! Small firm, that will work closely with you. Much better experience then a large law firm shuffling you and your paperwork through.

I did a petition for my daughter for full custody and they appointed gal Mr. Clark was the worst. No one cares of the situation that I'm in with my daughter and he didnt care. All he wants is to get paid that's what only matters. I'm very disappointed in Henrico court and the attorney. He only did one visit to our house and one visit to her father house 24 hours before the court, that really shows that he cares. I advised you if you get him appointed by the worst court get your private attorney that will actually fight and be fair about it.

Mr. Dalton has been a pleasure to work with throughout my divorce proceeding. Sometimes his advice and recommendation were not what was wanted to be heard, but was fair and honest and needed to be heard. With his 30 years of experience, he represented me well in court and was of great help formulating positions to help ensure the best outcomes for my family and my case. Alex was my childrens guardian during my custody case. He told the courts that I should not be able to see my kids from the very first day I talked to him. He never met with the children and I together, so its hard to know his reasoning. i would venture to guess it has to do with money. He has no interest in the well being of my kids or my relationship with my kids. I am embarrassed the the great state of Virginia allows this man to be a guardian in Henrico county. if you get him as your childrens guardian fire him immediately.

He handled my divorce case and he was the worst attorney that I ever know. He just want to make the process quick and will not work or defend you other than just negotiate with the counterpart and make a quick deal and get paid. During the court hearing he was not representing me but more like "representing" and leaning toward the other party. During the consultancy session he was always rude and intimidating. He try to put his vision and idea rather than my situation.

I am a previous client and and could feel a good vibe from Alex he dealt with my case for a reasonable amount and although I wasnt able to pay him what I thought he was worth I did win my case thanks to Alex. I had never heard of him and never expected to be in court in my life. Thank you Alex

Alex is extremely thorough and trustworthy, which is not typical of a lawyer. Alex puts the kids interest first and foremost and is a strong advocate for kids. I respect Alex and all he has done for my children. Alex made it possible for my children to grow up in a stable household and have a future they would have missed out on if they had stayed in their previous situation.

Alex had been my lawyer in child custody matters for over 5 years. I considered as a friend and knew that if something was not going to work out for me, he would let me know and we would work on it. Recently, Alex was retained for a case and spoke regularly with the petitioners attorney as well as the GAL. On the day of the preliminary, Alex was not in the courtroom and the plaintiff's attorney pushed to move forward with the case. Alex was paged to the courtroom and when he got in, he "lied" to the judges face and told him he had not been retained or paid at all. I have the contract signed by Alex, written up by his lawfirm with receipt of payment giving me to a certain date to fulfill all of the financial obligations of the contract which was a month and 3 days after this court date. He had already receieved money on the case.......Needless to say, he is no longer representing me. Over the past few years, I referred alot of clients to Mr. Clarke and when it came time to perform, Mr. Clarke fell short and made me regret I had ever retained him for this matter. Beyond all of this, I will still say that Mr. Clarke is an excellent lawyer. He is very well known in Henrico JDR and it helps out tremendously in court......But ever since he has become a bigtime criminal lawyer, he has changed and in my opinion, it is was for the worst. Alex's main paralegal made a statement to me that Alex was trying to get rid of all his old clients. I took this as finishing up the cases hopefully for good, not dropping me as a client because he was not happy with the amount his law firm, his paralegal, himself drew up in the contract. In closing, I have to say, I was very disappointed with the way that day in court played out. I will not be referring anyone else to Mr. Clarke in the future.
