I was extremely pleased with the services of Livesay & Myers. All of the staff was very professional and helpful. I am especially grateful for my team, Ms. Raheen and Ms. Arp who supported me through the entire process with such care. My case was complicated but they were with me through this very stressful process.

My first experience with a divorce lawyer left me so scarred, I then decided to use a mediator instead. Big mistake in not trying to do some more research and find a law firm who is going to handle things in a professional, but not aggressive way. Going through mediation can result in an outcome that perhaps you will end up regretting as you were not fully aware of the consequences. I learned the hard way that once your divorce has been finalized, changes are almost impossible and can potentially cost you a lot of money in legal fees. Six years after my divorce, I needed to correct a couple of bad decisions stemming from my mediation, and a friend of mine recommended Amanda Kimble at Livesay & Myers. I can't say enough good things about my experience with a law firm this time around. From setting up my appointments through Tracy at their Leesburg office to working with Amanda on my issues, I felt like they truly cared about my situation, and were trying not only to find a good solution, but to provide me with support during the process. Amanda is a truly gifted, extremely sharp individual who is able to almost immediately grasp what you are trying to convey, explains the law in a way you are able to understand, and works with you to find a good resolution to your issues. After successfully resolving my property distribution and custody issues with my now-willing-to-work-with-me ex-husband, I told Tracy at the office that, if I had engaged Amanda's services the first time around, I would have never been in the situation I was in years later. Divorce is a terribly difficult thing to go through, but with the right, compassionate, and competent legal representation, the experience can be less so.

I came across Livesay & Myers when I googled best family law firm in Northern Virginia. I had a consultation with Amanda Kimble in May of 2020 when I was in the initial stages of a divorce with a minor child. Ms. Kimble explained the process in Virginia regarding time frame and required action. Fast forward several months when I was ready to move forward. Ms. Kimble and her paralegal, Evelyn Ezeta, helped me complete an agreement prior to filing that defined the custody, visitation, and child support costs. I always felt reassured by their exemplary level of professionalism and responsiveness. When there was a mishap with the opposing counsel who filed the paperwork with a local Post Office without addressee or postage, Ms. Kimble helped coordinate prompt pick up of the remaining copy needed for court. Ms. Ezeta kept me abreast of any changes or modifications needed during the process. This was not at all an easy journey but I knew I had the best attorney in my corner. Further, the agreement was drafted with long term changes in mind as my child grows up. I really felt that my best interest and that of my child was kept in mind. I hope not to need their services in the future but am prepared to contact them should the need arise. I would highly recommend Ms. Kimble and Ms. Ezeta to anyone needed legal expertise in family law.

Ms. Huchler (my lawyer), Ms. Wallace, Ms. Membreno and Ms. Arp were amazing to work with with throughout the entire process of my divorce! They were very responsive always returning my emails in a timely manner, answered all questions about any legal matter I had so well that a regular guy, like myself, could understand!
