In early 2013 I was unfairly and unjustly incarcerated for a false positive urine screen of LSD by Manassas Probation & Parole. I had been taking Fentanyl patches for an accident that had occurred the previous year which was causing the false drug screens. Nicole Naum not only handled my case but she also subpoenaed a professional toxicologist to testify on my behalf in turn getting the cases against me dismissed. Nicole went above and beyond the "call of duty" and displayed the type of loving care (when handling my case) that one would expect from a family member or close friend. She also helped me beat a DUI and got the charge dropped to a reckless driving. I would recommend her to anyone in the state of Virginia that needed legal representation. Her professionalism and understanding of the law is far superior to that of her peers (in my experience) and I would not trust another attorney with my freedom or my finances. Everyday I wake-up I am grateful for the remarkable work that she did and if it were not for her expertise and dedication I would most likely still be incarcerated to this day.

I reached out to Nicole Naum’s office and from the beginning I was re-assured at the attentiveness of the firm in addressing my concerns regarding my reckless driving ticket in Prince William County. I spoke with Nicole about my case, and she seemed very confident about my case. I decided to hire her almost immediately as she seemed to have a firm grasp of my charges and what could be done. Nicole was very calm in Court, she laid all the facts to the judge, and the prosecution didn’t agree with Nicole, but .. well Nicole knew exactly what she was doing and anything the Assistant Commonwealth Attorney said was well countered by Nicole. The Judge said that since Nicole went into such details, and that the officer could not respond adequately to the details, that I was NOT GUILTY. I was so happy and thankful! Nicole did everything she could to have my back and to prove I didn’t do anything wrong. Nicole was worth the investment in my future! Not everyone completely beats a DUI – but with Nicole I did.

In the beginning I searched around and read different websites about attorneys, and I read Nicole’s profile and her recent award for being a good attorney. I called and spoke to someone at her firm, and they put me in contact with Nicole within minutes. I was really shaken about my allegations, and when I spoke to Nicole and it felt like she understood. She gave me a lot of good advice, and really put me at ease about my situation. She connected well with me and personality, and she really figured out my situation fast. She seemed so genuine, and really cares about the story behind the situation. The human side. She was very calm and competent, which put me at ease. I took some time to think about it, and I wanted to make sure I picked the right one. I absolutely picked the right attorney. After hiring Nicole, her responses and communication level was very quick. She was available over phone, text and emails. There was even a time that I was really worried about the case, and I just needed to talk and she was there for me. The day before we went to court we decided to have a family meeting about everything and Nicole came down and talked to us in depth about what was going to happen the next day. That meeting really put my mind at ease. The next day court went wonderfully. Nicole took care of everything for us, and I can put this behind me. Nicole was a sound investment, and a smart thing to do.

Bad attorney jokes are abundant but Ms. Naum has restored my faith in great lawyers. First off, she listens, she really listens. I felt well taken care of from the first minute of our conversation. I was worried about my situation, but she was reassuring right from the start. I didn't get unrealistic "pie-in-the-sky" outcomes from Nicole, but an honest appraisal of what might happen to me and my case. This was honesty I felt I could believe. From what I could tell, she is well respected by colleagues, even prosecutors. As a result, I believe I was treated fairly in the "system". She worked hard for my case, spending more time than I thought I had a right to expect. And guess what; the outcome was more favorable than expected. I know she has a family she loves, but she always had time to talk to me. Whatever the result (and I know it could have been negative) I felt well represented. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do, it will only be Nicole Naum.
