I live in MA and have family in the Outer Banks so I make the drive on regular basis. I have been pulled over on 4 occasions in the last 15 years driving there. I have never had a speeding ticket where I live. They see out of state plates and pull you over and let the locals go. I got a few letters in the mail to represent me and I went with this firm. I'm so glad I did, it's much more affordable than taking a few days off from work to fight the ticket which I've done in the past. It also saves on car insurance because the case is dropped. This office is sending out scam letters leading people to believe that have been changed with a speeding violation. Be very careful, do not assume that any of the information in these “advertising materials” has any truth to it. They state a very specific offense including date off offense, break down of court cost, points against your license and court date. “Then is small print at the bottom mention “if this letter was received in error then you were not charged with the offense listed.”

Hobbs & Harrison was the first law firm that contacted me after my wreckless driving charge while driving through VA. I had a total of 11 law firms that solicited their services to me. During our phone consultation, I found Mr. Harrison to be professional, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk with. He let me know that he could get my wreckless driving misdemeanor charge down to perhaps an improper driving charge and that he could represent me in my absence. After our phone consultation, I felt confident that Mr. Harrison would well represent me and I chose to not bother with the other solicitations. It was a good move. Even w/o my ability to get the vehicle calibrated (couldn't find anyone in NYC to do that, can you imagine!), Mr. Harrison was able to get the charge reduced to improper driving which is a traffic infraction (not a criminal misdemeanor like wreckless driving is). I want to add that their legal assistant, Elena Harrison, is also fabulous. She was friendly, answered my questions, got back to me quickly.. it was reassuring to know that the front end of the office was running efficiently. If you're wondering about costs, I paid only $250 for the representation which I felt was well worth it - many other lawyers who solicited their services charged same and a couple up to $400. My fine is $180 and court fees of $66. During all that time from ticket to court date, my mother became seriously ill and passed away. It was a terrible time for me and my family. While my mom's illness and passing took priority and every once of energy from me (so that I couldn't really pay too much mind to other matters in my life like the impending court date), it was comforting to know that the case was being handled professionally by Mr. Harrison. It was one less thing to be concerned about and so it allowed me to focus on mom in that sacred space. I'll always be grateful to Hobbs & Harrison Law Offices for that - and they didn't even know that was going on in my life.
