Doug is a consummate professional, an expert at what he does, and a great guy, on top of it. When I received a Virginia speeding ticket he was able to get it dismissed. I could not recommend him more highly.

Doug truly helped me out of an EXTREME case of Reckless Driving. Not only did he provide a long list of resources to help increase my chances of getting a reduction, he directly negotiated a lesser charge for me despite all the odds being stacked against me. Do know that Doug directly works these cases himself which is rare for a lawyer with his level of experience. Text and e-mail communication was prompt considering how busy he is. Your chances of having a great result are much higher with Doug on your side. I wish I could give him 6 stars!

Doug is an incredible resource and ally to have on your side when facing any traffic ticket especially those related to Virginia's strict speeding laws. Beyond great communication Doug knows the steps that you need to take in order to put yourself in the best position possible for a favorable outcome. In my instance I followed his guidance prior to my court date and Doug was able to get it reduced to a Defective Equipment non-moving charge. Truly the best to represent you! Doug made all the difference!

He got the results we were hoping for with a dismissed ticket which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars but he was a PAIN to work with. The worst experience I have had working with a lawyer. During a brief introductory call Doug Mcgee was attentive and courteous until AFTER I paid the lawyer fee. After you are on the hook; you are dealing with a different personality. All I was asking was a 5-10 minute phone call after our initial consultation but he insisted on doing everything over text like I wasn’t worth his time. When I do text him he’d take an average of a week or two to respond and then does so in a patronizing and passive aggressive way. He would feel the need to remind me if anything I asked was already mentioned on our first call as if a human being can’t forget a detail or two and then would proceed to still not answer all my questions. At one point I thought he ghosted me all together because it was almost two weeks since I sent a text his way along with an email (that he claims went to spam). I got to the point of desperation to call his office but google has two different numbers and it sent me to the wrong one; the office still helped and sent a message out to him to reach me. I was then sent a long text chastising me for contacting the wrong office like it was my fault and my poor communication from the last 2 weeks. After this, any interaction with him was like walking on eggshells hoping not to upset the person I’m trusting to represent me. Leading up to the court date I honestly had a feeling that he didn’t really care about how my case turns out and had a seeking feeling my case is screwed. If I could get my money back and hire a different lawyer partway through I would but I had a feeling I wasn’t going to get it back even if I tried so I figured I’d just stick with the devil I know rather than spend another half grand in hopes of a dismissed case.

My daughter had received a summons for speeding/reckless driving in VA back in October. Doug was great right out of the gate! He was prompt with emails, texts & phone calls. He provided us with a great informational email that outlined what we could do to help our case besides him himself. We followed his instructions and did what he asked/recommended and needless to say we had a VERY positive outcome. Would recommend 10 x over to anyone in need of services as such! Thanks Doug!

Many thanks for saving me a trip to Va . I received a ticket for 16 mph over the speed limit and Mr. McGee got it down to a defective equipment charge. Thank you so much. A much better outdcome than I could have anticipated.

Douglas Mcgee reduced my charge of reckless driving to a non moving ticket. If you are a victim of Virginia's draconian traffic law, I would recommend you contact this man immediately.

My father was charged with a reckless driver charge and McGee was able to get it all dropped avoiding a misdemeanor, the risk of jail etc. Him and his team were very kind and helpful some of them speak spanish and were very polite. Alejandra was very patient and professional, thank you !
